I started some seed in rapid rooters & plan on transplanting seedlings into 3" peat pots either today or in next few days. Ive been reading where some people say to water the soil you plan on transplanting into then letting sit for two days. Other ppl.say to just water the soil & throw right into soil. Which is best here? I imagine the idea of prewatering is to avoid drowning seedlings.

I pre-moisten my final pot to slight runoff, then let it acclimate to conditions in grow environment and lose a pound before I "transfer" seedling, day after sprout. I've had 0 defects since implementing this policy. Soil Auto grower.

K,since consensus seems to be to prewater soil before transplant ill do that then give a day then transplant.
