Has anyone water cured before

While I was away my autos got really badly overwatered ( without leaving the water to stand ) so much so I didn’t water them for 2 weeks however they were ready to harvest then.

There filled with chlorophyll.
I know I can cure them to remove the rest but that can take a 1-3mths depending on the amount & think it will take at least 2mths

I know water curing can help however I’ve never had a need to try it before

Any thoughts

They say I'm incurable... Or was that insufferable?

I haven't heard of this. So... First thoughts... I don't know what the process would be. Is the bud soaked in water for a while? If so, it would be like infusion with bud that hasn't been decarboxylated. That would worry me about removing the precursors of THC.

I also wonder about having too much chlorophyl. Doesn't every green cell in a plant have chlorophyl?

What about ethylene? It is known for breaking down chlorophyll and marijuana even releases its own during the curing process. Not really any legit studies testing its use during curing though, just studies monitoring the presence of ethylene during curing. I was planning on testing it when I harvest my current grow. Throw some apples and bananas in with the plants while they hang.

Just curious, but what do you mean? Do you mean to say that your plants hold more chlorophyll than usual? And if so, then why do you think that?

They were sat in stale water while I was away on holiday as the person looking after them wasn’t a grower

So it’s probably not to much chlorophyll more to do with being sat in stale water
I had a cluster migraine when I posted so I wasn’t thinking clearly

Whatever haze I decided to become a better person a few weeks ago & not say anything if I couldn’t say something helpful or nice

The question was about if anyone had tried the water cure method

@hazegod666 as per trying to be a better person maybe if I explain we can get along better.

In truth I may not of let it dry long enough. I doubt it was three weeks

I got impatient due to the mad dreams; cutting folks heads of was bad enough but having my ex wife in the last one made me reach for the bud.

I can just about handle the pain I’m in but it can make me erratic when I’m out as I am now.

There wasn’t much bud as said I was away & it got overwatered so I put the buds in a container rather than hang it to dry & picking a bud up it cracked but obviously wasn’t ready.

It gave me a cluster migraine & I posted about chlorophyllas I wasn’t thinking clearly & thought that’s what gave me the cluster migraine

As it goes it’s a nice smoke with white smoke & it was trimmed properly it was just a case of it not being left to dry long enough as if I smoke weed that not totally dry I get really bad cluster migraines.

I slightly decarboxylated a bit & it’s enjoyable now

Hope we can put the jazz behind us & enjoy each other’s views.

I just wonder how these could gas off under water.. doesn't seem possible. Your best bet would be to just cure it as usual.

@Week4Bytch

It is possible bud it’s not new, it’s pretty much a old technique

How to Remove Chlorophyll from Marijuana

When it comes to preparing marijuana, the goal is to enhance the flavor and aroma while ensuring a smooth experience. However, excess chlorophyll in marijuana can lead to a harsh taste and an unpleasant smoking experience. So, how do we remove chlorophyll from marijuana, and why is it important...
gamutpackaging.com

The water cures about 1/2 way down

Straight up search on how to remove chlorophyll from cannabis will reveal quite a few results on it.

This is extreme but interesting

There was a strain hunters vid I wish I could remember the name of so I could link you to it.

The farmers there would put thier buds in something like Muslim & then put them in slow flowing stream to cure not to remove chlorophyll but simply a method they used for there own bud the rest they would dry as normal probably coz it was harsh

Thanks. I was wondering about the process. I might be inclined to try it with some of our next harvest.

Would this make it better for cooking with it? We like to make tincture, but the taste only goes well with a few things. I'm thinking removing the taste & smell would add many new possibilities.

I feel for you about the migraines. I used to get real bad migraines. Usually out of commission for 2 or 3 days. They suck.

It's weird tho. Once I started smoking again I rarely get them.

What up G! : ) hey this is a little off topic to your original question but here goes anyways lol! I dried and cured my last round low and slow. I had one plant that i stuck in the tote and didnt trim it or burp it at all during the tote cure after the initial dry. That stuff has the most gawd awful smell (chlorophyll) it still works but is less than desirable to smoke. i think it came down to the burping Just my two cents! : ) hope all is well man! Take care!

Not a fan of that approach, you spend 10-15 days drying then dip it in water?
