I need to cut another hole in the wall to get some fresh air in here - because with the aircon on and two RVKs there's just too much negative pressure (e.g. the door is hard to open).

I'm scared to open up an input because I don't want to suck in any bugs or spores, but it's inevitable.

So...I want to cut a 13mm hole in the wall and put a piece of hose through it, and then put that hose into a bucket of water. The thinking here is that the pressure should be great enough to pull air through the hose, through the water and into the room.

I've not read of anyone else doing it, so wondered why not? The main aim is to get fresh air in here that has been somehow filtered from bugs and other airborne nasties...powdery mildew etc....

Cheers in advance

Spores will stay in the air bubble and pass into your room. I use a filter from HD for around 22 bucks that rated 99.99% on catching what passes through. Look for a hepa filter made for furnaces. Suerte JK
