Hi stoners,

So here is the deal...been feeding this one specific crop with water solubles since they were 2 weeks old. 10-52-10 and 20-20-20 to be exact and now since I have used up all 400 gallons at a guerrilla site, I'm forced to rely on the rain and maybe...maybe 2 or 3 more watering if lucky. The river bed is completely dry now, so talk about shit out of luck. Nice drought.

I want to cross over from water solubles to top dressing with guano. The guano is a high phosphorus bat shit that only lasts 3 weeks every application. I figure feeding with water solubles for the stretch and then applying a week later (probably 2 weeks till it starts releasing nutrients?).

I have grown with strictly water solubles and organic before, never mixed the two together. I know it's probably alright but just curious what ya guys think. Oh and these are 6' plants...

The only problem(s) I see arising would be if you get the guano too thick, don't get it mixed into the soil well enough so that it cakes. That could lead to rot, which would be a bummer.

You can also use your own urine, use anywhere from a 1:5-1:50 ratio pee:water. It works better than any chemical salt fertilizer tested (scientific data). I don't know that it would last all that long, but I think it would be a good adjunct.

You can also top dress with stuff like soft rock phosphate, dolomite lime (you haven't mentioned Ca/Mg, but they may be necessary to help ensure the P plays well with everything else), greensand, Gaia green earth or whatever it's called. Those will help lengthen the breakdown and thus availability time.

I'm sure guano will work great, though.

The application method will be top dressing. Will be using 'Flower Power' from welcome harvest because it's cheap and decent fertilizer. Flower Power lasts 35-45 days apparently, locals say good things. I'll throw in a little bit of the high P guano as well. I have my organic mix posted in the organic forums in case you forgot. This isn't an organic grow hence the use of water-solubles 60% of the plants life. SEMi-ORGANiC.

The idea of pee being more nutritious to plants than water-solubles is tough to grasp. I would be interested in reading the article or journal that discusses their scientific findings. Urine is also a veg fertilizer because of the high nitrogen content. And If you missed it, I have no water so how can I dilute?? Also it's not the best idea to feed nitrogen dominant fertilizers after the stretch..Maybe first 2-3 weeks of flowering, 3 tops lol...
The water solubles provide plants with every element they can use practically. Most don't have calcium or magnesium but that is already taken care of (pre-spring dolomite lime application.)

Greensand is a waste of time, it will take forever to break down (years?) and its not very practical for this type of grow as it is not an organic one.

There is so much research on urine that I couldn't well choose a single article for you. Though I get the impression you are distinctly not interested.

Human urine fertilizer.
