I am just wondering if my watering technique could use some improvement. I use promix soiless, in 3 gallons buckets (11 litres)...I water each plant with 2 litres of water, and I get no runoff. I only have to water every 5 or 6 days. Should I cut down the amount of water so my plants need to be watered more often? More like every 3 or 4 days? I'm not complainin about not having to water all the time...but I probably could do a better job adjusting nute levels if I water more often. And less nute burns with less water/total nutes.
Hi, I've used Pro Mix and other peat based soils for over 20 years.
I also use the 11L / 3 gal pots..
.I'm surprised no one has said anything about your temperatures, If you're not going through water in 3-4 days it is too cold at 78f - 80f they'll go through the water colder than that it will take longer.

Water til saturated then let dry and repeat with your water / feed cycle. I lift the pots to determine watering needs, you'll quickly learn the weight of the pots, when I can lift easily with one hand its time to water/feed ( in the 3 gal )
