here's the $25 quantum meter rental I mentioned before:
what do you guys think of the vert "one bounce and out" reflectors?
They range from $200 on up to about $800. I looked them up on amazon the other day. The one I mentioned, with data logging, was about $350 if memory serves.WTF?!?!? HOw much is it to buy?
I believe certain nutrient delivery systems impart potential for an extra .1-.25 gpw, all else equal.
Heath.
Any of them involving low root mass.Like which ones?
Careful I think they're selling the old ones, the redesign is dimmable. Also lots of typos and incorrect model numbers on this product due to the word "dual" used by lumatek for the twin bulbs and for 120/240 voltage capability. I've been shopping for these..http://www.hydroponics.net/i/136858 = digital dual bulb ballast.
http://www.growlite.com/#CAre to provide a link?
Fuck that.http://www.growlite.com/#

(please resist the cmh distraction on the last one, surely better for another thread)

Bucket systems.
Anything where we follow Krusty's advice and flow nute solution past root tips.

Already doing that.Vert bare lamp, surround it with plants, and surround the plants with reflective surfaces.
It stands to reason that a vert lamp with that reflector could outperform a horizontal lamp in a regular reflector.Already doing that.
I'm serious, for micromoles @sqft those hoods can beat the horizontal overheads - on paper. Haven't seen one in action myself.
I dunno, anything below 600 seems pretty impractical to me, all those ballasts/cords? Doesn't seem worth it when you could have fewer lamps and deeper penetration.Wasn't someone somewhere advocating 4 250w lamps instead of 1ks?
Get them all close or something?
I was joking, some dude was advocating this I think.I dunno, anything below 600 seems pretty impractical to me, all those ballasts/cords? Doesn't seem worth it when you could have fewer lamps and deeper penetration.
Would those be normal vert lamps or spinning around in a gyroscope?
