I found a testing lab in Richmond that started doing asbestos, lead, and radon testing, then expanded their offerings to include weed testing. Note, I haven’t used them yet and cannot vouch.

Here’s part of what they told me:
ā€œā€¦we offer our Dank-O-Meter package: which includes, terpenes, cannabinoids and moisture content. A 3-gram sample size is needed per sample, with a 5-day turn-around for $100.00….ā€

They will also test for metals, pesticides, and contaminants, etc, but I’m not interested in those more commercial tests.

In case anyone in central Va. wants local testing. Go to sativatest.com

(Imagine the sales volume they might get with lower pricing!)

I've been using Kaycha Labs and I've been quite impressed by their service and pricing. They have several locations across the country, and they're approved by the DEA for official industrial hemp testing.

Cool that more labs are opening up to cannabis testing, though! The faster this industry grows, the sooner we can get it on the right track to really flourish. I'm a huge fan of any new business related to the cannabis industry in general, and a lab in Virginia is probably a pretty big step for that region. Good news!

🤠

Yep, it’s a good resource to have available, although I doubt I will drop $100 very often just to satisfy my curiosity about one of my 3-4 plants.

I’m curious, what did it cost you per sample at Kaycha Labs? Or were you doing a comprehensive panel vs. my ā€˜noids and ā€˜penes testing?

Kaycha offers several different comprehensive tests, I think a basic cannabinoid test is somewhere in the range of 50 or 60 bucks, and they offer more detailed tests in or around the same price range. Probably cheaper than that lab, to be honest. I'm not exactly sure on their prices right now, the last time I had testing done was last summer, as this year I'm taking a break from farming due to health reasons.

But if you want check out their website I'm pretty sure they list their prices on there somewhere - https://www.kaychalabs.com/
