Apparently when plants start sucking up (prioritizing) potassium the magnesium suffers... seems to be what I'm going through with one of the ladies. Checked the pH of the soil and we got a 6.3pH. I'm more comfortable with it above 6.5, so we dropped some...

Apparently when plants start sucking up (prioritizing) potassium the magnesium suffers... seems to be what I'm going through with one of the ladies. Checked the pH of the soil and we got a 6.3pH. I'm more comfortable with it above 6.5, so we dropped some dolomite limestone, azomite, compost and washed it down with a little epsom salt solution. (tablespoon to a gallon of water). MAn I hope I got this one right! šŸ˜‚

Right lady looking healthy, her friend to the left... getting to limey for my liking.

My 2nd bitch (this year) I'd do more but don't have the space, shit I barely have space for the two recent clones! Just playing with this to learn (and bored as fuk) . Not that hard really, its literally just add water and you get roots.

So I really don't know much about autos, well, ok more than the average grower maybe, but, do they stretch for three weeks the same? Cause they are blooming.

Yes, autos also stretch the first weeks of flower but the chances of getting a very tall one are less since the ruderalis genetic makes them usually shorter.

These are truly shortys.. I don't see the draw to them. Maybe for apartment grows? I know this guy back in Britain that grows these out looking like regulars.. I hate that dude.. šŸ˜‚ but he's using HPS lighting. Some swear they are the superior quality of lighting. Nothing beats the efficiency of LED though. No I'm not getting HPS lighting.. (Should I?) šŸ¤”
Speaking of lighting, the short 12/12 schedule in the 4x4 is not doing the Strawberry Gorilla any favors. I'm gonna have to raise that pot tonight somehow, maybe prop it on top of a bucket or something. Autos love a gang of light.

The only uses I see for autos:
1. Some strains like the Skywalker OG Runtz is only available in auto.
2. Youre lazy.
3. Good for outdoors out of season or places where they tend to get pests, shorter lifespan less possibilities that it ends up in a very bad state.
4. Your grow space is not tall, but then you could use a photo and train it and it would be much better space and productivity wise.
That said, is that strawberry gorilla an auto? Autos under 12/12 dont perform well Ive done the experiment myself. They will end up showing some deficiency or toxicity and also the buds will be underwhelming.

Anyway, with little effort like toping and lollipoping you can get much more from photos than autos usually.

Agree, it was a challenge for me at the beginning to get a photoperiod result from these autos. I've seen it done in other forums in a similar setup I have the Skywalker in.
Strawberry Gorilla is an auto, no bueno in 12/12 lighting, I didn't even think she would survive honestly, I mean she's healthy, just a little branch sticking out of the ground healthy..🤣 I'm all in with the Skywalker with their own tent, the Strawberry is kinda like, let's see what happens if we stick it with the 4x4 group kind of thing. I might get one nug out of her if I raise it up two or three feet off the ground. Maybe.

Hey Week4......Skywalker O.G.s are looking beautiful!!

I've only ever grown the one Skywalker O.G. that's been with me almost from the start.....so I can't vouch for all of um, but this one is smooth....

I ended up getting these from @Herbies_Seeds , but I've got a Sky......

When you're kinda, these aren't regs, but definitely not autos, serious about growing some....

@Bilber was cool enough to send me some Banana OG and Matanuska Thunder Fuck beans .. forever grateful and šŸ™ thanks!

Lights are on and we propped the Strawberry on a bucket ... That's all I can do for her now. Still surprised she actually got this far .. šŸ˜‚ thing was almost dead with that fungus deal all over the stem as a seedling.

The strawberry is looking better than I expected. I did get buds to smoke its just that they were not very big, not very tight and a bit deformed hahaha. If there's nothing you can do well there's nothing you can do.
Matanuska is great for winter, I think its an alaskan strain, tried it once but cant remember. Banana OG or anything that comes from chiquita banana are some seriously good smoke. High in THC and it does really taste like banana, I have 3 Fat Bananas drying in my small indoors šŸ˜

I'm really tempted to drop these Banana OG, along with some 7 East Genetics Nebulus Kush. Only these OG hybrids are not the best yielders. That would be my challenge, to get the max yield from an OG variant. I know for sure they are Cal Mag whores.. just the timing of vegging these out for the flip when I harvest the Hammer. The gamble would be to just drop them now. The safe bet would be two weeks from now. #FirstWorldProblems

BruH,, If I seem overly excited, it's because I am, if these stretch out any more I'd be stunned. Jayr1787 (from IC Mag) has some killer grows, I got inspired by him to try this bed out and I'm started to believe these are meant for autos.
