Don't know what the GMO stands for though?

I've never grown or smoked GMO, I wonder how strong the smell is in flower and when smoking it.
I have some GMOxOkie beans, maybe I'll do those on the next run in the 8x4

I’ve only ever smoked it from the stores, I can only imagine how “nasty” this stuff would smell in flower! I remember the smell of “spice with a little smooth and sweet but not like a berry sweet”, and I want to say you could smell a hint of garlic! It’s awesome stuff! I would totally grow it if I had it : ) does the Okie lean more sativa?

Bytch, I have no clue on how this stuff grows : ) I was wondering if my description was even close to the video you watched? : )But that time frame is definitely on the longer flowering side for Indica, maybe, i guesslol!

I've been watching a few vids on GMO all day and the common denominator is yes, smooth, sweet, spice , just like you mentioned. I might have to put these in front of the line for the next run. I agree, Indica for 13 weeks? These guys look like clowns anyways..lol, so taking that with a grain of salt. I'm just confused on the claimed origins of the strain right now. We have Divine Genetics and Mamiko Seeds saying they breed the original GMO. Seedmans website are selling clones of GMO (minimum order of 4) right now. Those are from Divine Genetics.

Okie is Wedding Cake x Thin Mints

GMO is indica dominant
Wedding Cake is indica dominant
Thin Mints is 50/50

I prefer indica so I'm hoping it leans indica.

My last couple grows were 10-12 week flower, is what it is lol.

We have Divine Genetics and Mamiko Seeds saying they breed the original GMO. Seedmans website are selling clones of GMO (minimum order of 4) right now. Those are from Divine Genetics.

YEP! I dont believe anyone anymore! Hahaha! At least im much more skeptical now than I was when I was younger (you could have sold me beach front property in Arizona!)

I just realized The Farm carries Divine Genetics GMO. Steep asking price.. but they do look outstanding from photos.

And found this (somewhat lengthy vid) of a Mamiko cut of the GMO. Can you see any differences between the two?

the GMO I bought at the store looked more like the devine genetics vs the video. It had an overall darker look. I would run that devine gmo if I had a legit light! Hahaha!

I have the Mamiko coming in, and I'm really tempted to grab some of the Divine Genetics and grow these side by side.

I don't like waiting either! I have 1 Rainbow Belts x Okie in one of my Stealth Boxes, it's on week 8 but not quite there yet.
I also harvest mine with more amber then most people do, just what I prefer.

I have a light coming in for the 1 gallon challenge and I'm cleaning out a decent sized closet for it. I've been thinking on making the closet a permanent grow space and veg Autos in it and then use my smaller tent to flower them in and grow perpetually.

I have the Mamiko coming in, and I'm really tempted to grab some of the Divine Genetics and grow these side by side.

I like the looks of the Divine Genetics better but we've all seen the same strain look completely different depending on who growing it or how it was grown.

I'm definitely curious how they would look in a side by side, start to finish!

GMO​

The GMO strain is acclaimed as a favorite of breeders, growers, terp-chasing dab-lovers, and regular old weed smokers, but this strain gets a little confusing — so let’s clear things up!

In short, GMO is a cut, or phenotype, selected from a pack of Mamiko Chem Cookies seeds by Skunkmasterflex (see the December 2017 issue of High Times, or this IG post). Contrary to urban legends about “garlic, mushrooms, and onions,” Skunkmasterflex reports that he named this phenotype after reading a headline about Girl Scout Cookies (the actual cookies!) containing genetically modified ingredients. From there, the nickname Garlic Cookies started popping up, and some breeders have used GMO to create strains with garlic names, so the garlic nickname isn’t going away anytime soon!
In the aforementioned 2017 High Times issue, Danny Danko refers to the Skunkmasterflex GMO cut as “D-Cookies”, but that’s actually the original name chosen for Mamiko Seeds Chem Cookies (referring to the Chemdog D parent) — but that didn’t really stick, and they chose Chem Cookies instead.
A separate Chem Cookies was bred by Divine Genetics that crossed the same Girl Scout Cookies with a different Chemdog phenotype (Chemdog 4 instead of Chemdog D). Both the Divine Genetics Chem Cookies and Mamiko Chem Cookies were released around the same time and can produce similar plants, which is confusing enough, but now both are also referred to as GMO Cookies, even though the Mamiko Seeds GMO cut is what breeders and smokers have been raving about. You may also see the names GMO Cookies, Garlic Cookies, and even GMO being used interchangeably, so how can you tell the difference?
Other than DNA testing, there’s no absolute way to prove you have the Mamiko Seeds GMO cut from Skunkmaster, but it’s sort of an awkward-looking strain that’s fairly easy to recognize. Sometimes it can look quite purple or dark green from its leaves, but it’s often a light green color. The shape of the buds is what’s unique, though, so check out this picture or this video to get an idea of what the real GMO usually looks like. If you get GMO that doesn’t look similar, it may still be Chem Cookies, but it might not be the same cut Skunkmaster Flex found from his pack of Mamiko Chem Cookies seeds.
