And I think I killed her. 🧐 She got these weird brown spots (size of a quarter) and started getting even more pale. šŸ˜‚ Probably over stayed her time in the one gallon? Or I just over watered her to death. I snipped two cuts off of her see what I can save.

I figured I can squeeze 4 plants in a 5x5. Have one (tent) coming in and really just shooting off the hip what I might do with it once it's set up. I dropped a couple LArry OG (Cali Connection) just for shits and giggles. My timing on all this is a little off.

In my head I'm growing couple Gelato 33 with some OG in that 5x5. or.. (fuk I need a joint)

Have the top buds statched in the fridge to dry. And the lower larf buds.. I usually throw them away. I know it's a waste (to throw them out) just no use for me at this point of time. But.. wondering if I let them go for a week if they'll harden up. Any one here ever let the lowers go longer?
Larf=edible material.
Bjt yea if you vut the tops and let it for a few weeks they will develope

@pnwbluntman mentioned about this little contraption (CanaKan) at @7munkee thread.

Finally got to play with a knock off version of it. šŸ˜ Hey half price...don't judge. 🤣

I'm supposed to let it sit couple days on top of a heat mat (covered) and boom. Life.

According to canaKan these should have popped by today .. marketing BS? They are super hard beans. Them small ones (beans) usually take weeks to pop. Hoody Hoo. šŸ™„

My cuts are looking great from Monday. Might grow these out instead of the 2nd pheno of Gelato 33& Okie. If the mother of the cuts makes it will include it in the mix of things. She might actually make it. Left it outside overnight and cold air didn't put her out. Got some color back too ..lol, shit I don't know.

Decided to use the two cuts of Gelato&Okie for the indoor tent. The scent is crazy good for a plant this young (mother). Soon as they root out decent we'll transplant them to there final spot.

Don't think, or it doesn't look like the Larry OG is gonna pop. I'm near tempted to grab cuts from the Elev8 Gelato 33 (as soon as that grows out some) and fill the 5x5 with those.

Meanwhile... The Humboldt Afghani top buds got trimmed down but 80% of them seemed too "wet". They been drying for about 10 days. We're gonna let them dry some more before bagging them.

The bud pictured above is DRY. The ones I trimmed down last night are nowhere near that texture. Wishing I took pics. It was mostly a trim bowl job but a few leaves still needed some hand trimming (with scissors). Wet.

And the garage is gonna need some rearranging šŸ˜’. Seems like a 5x5 tent needs about 5x5 of space to fit. šŸ˜ We have time .. no rush. Also tempted to finally use them earthboxes I've had on hold. Test them babies out. Have to get them going with soil here soon.

For sure try out the earthboxes. I've been loving them.

I'll be off on holiday vacation for two weeks starting Saturday. Good time to rearrange the garage, needs a major cleaning, an organized mess. Anxious about my cuts too. Want to get this party going. 😁

No roots yet :(

I went back on this thread and apparently it's an Elev8 Gelato 33 under there. I completely forgot about it. I'm gonna have to snip it and let it root out.

We bagged the top buds (Humboldt Afghani) yesterday and almost got it right. 68% percent humidity inside the bag. When we initially dropped them in they were at 50%. Dry on the outside. Proves (to me anyway) that yes there is plenty of moisture underneath. The tech with the grove bags is the breathable layers of plastic allowing you to seal them with no terps or cannabinoids lost. No burping needed. I heat sealed the top. šŸ˜Ž

Gelato 33 @ Okie cuts finally rooted out enough for the transplant. They're officially in the 4x2

We have some Buckwheat going on too, forgot about them..lol, I read it's great for phosphorus inputs in the soil. I'd have to read more into it how Buckwheat does this, I'll add some info on that later on..

Buckwheat is a fantastic cover crop for cannabis gardens, acting as a fast-growing weed suppressor, soil improver (especially for phosphorus), and pollinator attractor, but needs management to prevent it from becoming a weed itself by terminating before it seeds, often by mowing or tilling around flowering time, to benefit your cannabis grow without competition.
Benefits for Cannabis Growers:
Weed Suppression: Grows quickly, shading out weeds, especially in summer.
Soil Health: Scavenges phosphorus and calcium, making them available to cannabis, and builds organic matter.
Beneficials: Flowers attract predatory wasps, ladybugs, and hoverflies that eat cannabis pests.
Erosion Control: Protects bare soil from rain and wind.
Quick Turnaround: A fast-growing, short-season crop (45-60 days) for quick rotations before planting cannabis.

It also has triacontanol like alfalfa:
Triacontanol (TRIA) is a naturally occurring, long-chain fatty alcohol found in plant waxes and beeswax, widely used as a powerful plant growth regulator (PGR) that boosts photosynthesis, nutrient absorption, cell division, and overall plant vigor, leading to increased yields, larger flowers, and better stress tolerance in crops, even though its exact mechanism isn't fully understood. It's a low-toxicity, organic compound popular in farming for enhancing growth and resilience.
And tryptophan:
Tryptophan is an essential amino acid plants build for proteins and as a crucial precursor for vital compounds like the plant hormone auxin (IAA), serotonin, melatonin, and defensive chemicals (indoles) that regulate growth, development (fruit set, root growth), and stress responses.
