Larf=edible material.Have the top buds statched in the fridge to dry. And the lower larf buds.. I usually throw them away. I know it's a waste (to throw them out) just no use for me at this point of time. But.. wondering if I let them go for a week if they'll harden up. Any one here ever let the lowers go longer?
For sure try out the earthboxes. I've been loving them.Decided to use the two cuts of Gelato&Okie for the indoor tent. The scent is crazy good for a plant this young (mother). Soon as they root out decent we'll transplant them to there final spot.
Don't think, or it doesn't look like the Larry OG is gonna pop. I'm near tempted to grab cuts from the Elev8 Gelato 33 (as soon as that grows out some) and fill the 5x5 with those.
Meanwhile... The Humboldt Afghani top buds got trimmed down but 80% of them seemed too "wet". They been drying for about 10 days. We're gonna let them dry some more before bagging them.
The bud pictured above is DRY. The ones I trimmed down last night are nowhere near that texture. Wishing I took pics. It was mostly a trim bowl job but a few leaves still needed some hand trimming (with scissors). Wet.
And the garage is gonna need some rearranging. Seems like a 5x5 tent needs about 5x5 of space to fit.
We have time .. no rush. Also tempted to finally use them earthboxes I've had on hold. Test them babies out. Have to get them going with soil here soon.
I've been using grove bags. I tried the jar thing once but the bags are easier for me. I tend to forget to burp the jars lol.My son uses those bags. I stick with my traditional canning jars.
It also has triacontanol like alfalfa:Buckwheat is a fantastic cover crop for cannabis gardens, acting as a fast-growing weed suppressor, soil improver (especially for phosphorus), and pollinator attractor, but needs management to prevent it from becoming a weed itself by terminating before it seeds, often by mowing or tilling around flowering time, to benefit your cannabis grow without competition.
Benefits for Cannabis Growers:
Weed Suppression: Grows quickly, shading out weeds, especially in summer.
Soil Health: Scavenges phosphorus and calcium, making them available to cannabis, and builds organic matter.
Beneficials: Flowers attract predatory wasps, ladybugs, and hoverflies that eat cannabis pests.
Erosion Control: Protects bare soil from rain and wind.
Quick Turnaround: A fast-growing, short-season crop (45-60 days) for quick rotations before planting cannabis.
