Welcome to my journey as I embark into the lands of coco and LED.
I have a handful of grows under my belt but due to incarceration for fighting the good fight I’ve been out of the loop a few years.

this is me getting back in the ring and this time with coco and LED. Both a first for me.

setup:
Coco
Veg+bloom lineup - stax, ro/soft until week 3 of flower then hd/dirty, +life, shine, push foliar
4x8 veg tent with hlg650r
6 light flower with 6 hlg 650r
4 light flower with 4 hlg 650r
Both flowers sealed with c02
Flower rooms auto fed from 55 gal res’s- one each room since rooms are staggered
Veg in process of becoming auto fed but hand watered until now and still currently

open to all feedback and constructive criticism. I’m here to share and to learn!

Stax 1g

Life 0.2g

Responding well to first feed. Worked up. Greened up. Looking much happier

Day 2

Room was 67* & 80%rh when I walked in, thinking of hooking up dehu and setting humidity levela to range from 60-70% for now

Still pretty saturated, going to feed again just to make sure salts don’t build up

Very happy and green new growth

Sour D mom looking much happier as well

Also going to get water heater today to introduce to res to bring res up to high 60s-low 70s. Currently 60-63*

Day 2 continued

Fed the little ones but not mom -ran out of warm enough water atm besides she’s in soil and can dry out a little more

Got a res heater but have a dud outlet need replaced

Finally got a little fan in here to get them moving a little, I know clipping to the light is not ideal but it’s temporary

Lowered the light to about 40”

Reset humidifier to 65

Day 4

Girls looking very happy. Wasn’t able to check in yesterday so didn’t get fed yesterday.

Fed today.

Introduced a radiator heater to the room to get it above 70

Humidity is set for 75%

Plugged in ac and set to 84 because radiator heater doesn’t have a thermostat and I’m not sure how hot this room will get

Day 5 veg 7/3

Finally set up veg tent and moved girls over after feeding in big room while I dealt with this.

Also finally got some ph down to drop my ph from 6.4 to 6. Id like to keep between 5.8-6.2 in coco

Ladies overall are loving life, shooting up, very green but too light of green - not sure if it was light bleaching from lowering the lights and raising the power from 10%-20% and maybe they’re just not established enough or if it’s because my ph has been too high and they haven’t been able to absorb adequate nitrogen so I raised the lights and turned them back down to 10%

Apparently my partner had his ex-fiancé over last night to get the rest of her things that had been stored in the basement until now.. and When I came by this morning to check in and get the veg space prepped the power cord (outlet/timer cord not the 220 supply) to the light controller was ripped out and laying across the floor and the girls were in total darkness (been on 24 up until tonight) and the room was in the 80’s with high 70’s humidity. I didn’t have time then to disassemble the controller to re-wire the plug in cord so it didn’t get fixed and lights back on until late that afternoon and as I was watering I saw a little bit of white on some of the coco and some of the stalks, unfortunately may have a pm battle ahead. Unfortunately all I can do rn is turn the fan up and I’m going to foliar with push. I’ll see how it looks tomorrow.

Speaking of which tonight I’m switching to 18/6 and doing my first foliar with HR’s push, heard really great things and excited to see for myself!

Used to use the whole VB line as well, my favorite thing was definitely Life+ and the Push foliar, good stuff. I've moved away from the nutrients but still have a bunch lying around so I'll be following along maybe I'll use it again. Hate for it to go to waste.

What setup have you moved on to?

I dig the simplicity of v+b and have seen some stellar results. I don’t live at my spot so trying to make this eventually as hands off and low key as I can

7/9 day 11

Been slacking on my updates past couple days

They love the push foliar, just absolute explosive growth each time.

It’s day 11 of veg but really the first week was just nursing them back to health and this has been more like week 1 in my mind.

I thought I would need a heater for the tent but temps stay within 10* drop at night but humidity spikes like a mofo, although I think part of that is due to my comrade zipping the tent up tight after he fed last night, I like to leave an opening at the top of both doors since we have all the vents in the tent closed off and don’t have intake/exhaust because that side of the basement is not as sterile or buttoned up like the flower rooms. I did clean, bleach and kills that room before putting tent up and moving veg in but still. So I’m gonna leave a gap in the doors tonight to see if that helps otherwise I may get a little dehumidifier and maybe the heat from that while it’s doing it’s job will keep temp even closer than 9*

Ladies are doing very well, loving life.

Roots showing out of the bottom of the 4” pots.

Going to lollipop all the old original growth off today for a couple reasons.

1: get rid of the little stuff that had to be nurses back to health so they direct energy to new growth instead of repairing those sites

2: give a new baseline for where the healthy growth and nodes start

3: when I up-pot in a couple days, after giving them time to rest and heal from the lollipoping, I want to plant them a little deeper on the stem as they would have been if they would’ve been healthy clones to begin with which will help keep her overall height lower for end results as well seeing as how I only have 7’3” ceilings I wanna keep the end canopy to 30” from top of pot (44” including pots & platforms)

Other than that they are doing great.

Tight nodes but seem to be shying away from the light a bit so I turned the power down from 30% to 20%

Still fertigating every watering veg+bloom line up - stax, v+b ro/soft, +life - at 1.8-2.0 ec and 5.8 ph

Runoff has consistently read .2 to .3 less than input so they seem happy.

7/12 day 14

Been super slacking on updates

Ladies responded beautifully to shaving their legs of all the nursed back to health sites and they exploded with new vertical growth. Which I’m kicking my self in the ass for not snapping a pic of but they are happy and beautiful!

Been feeding to runoff at lest twice a day but did a little experiment over the past day or two and didn’t feed or water since they’re still soaked I wanted to see what would happen and a couple days later they’re still wet but I’ve noticed less growth and they just didn’t look quite as happy as they’d been with frequent fertigation so I fed today, am about to again and back to twice a day. Still great color tho and when I fed today the normal amount they had much less runoff but the ec was still on point.

Foliar sprayed last night and didn’t see as much explosion as usual but I think that’s because of the lack of watering past couple days

Added a heater to the tent to keep night temps closer to day since it’s been getting pretty high humidity at night in there with practically no ventilation. Also added another little fan too.

Accidentally cooked one of the plants with the heater when I first turned it on but I’m hoping she bounces back.

Topped today. Again mad as hell I didn’t get a pic before
