just having a great yielding strain will not make a tent full of pot.
I know of several growers here who could take any random bag seed and with enviroment, nutrition, training and proper lighting would blow away my operation using the most higest yielding strain ever.
1 to 2 lids per plant without knowing about the grow style and setups seems very low. Perhaps reviewing your setup and processes would yield improvements in your grow rather than a different seed or clone.
I’m using 28”x28”
spider farmer grow tents,
AC infinity cloudline s4 4” inline-fan,
cloudray A6 6” fan,
cloudforge t3 humidifier,
thermoforge heater through a controller 69 pro. I run an Ionboard s22 off a timer cause the controller only has 4 ports.
Up until now keeping humidity and temperature down has been the bigger issue, but with a dry cold winter approaching I should be able to dial things in better.
I grow organic.
Promix BX +
Gaia Green worm castings/All Purpose 4-4-4/Power Bloom 2-8-4.
Start in solo cups, transplant using
Mykos mycorrhizae.
I use high quality spring water, and don’t ph adjust because it’s about a 7 and should be well within the buffer range. I don’t test runoff or anything. I do a mix of top watering and bottom watering to keep fungus gnats from becoming a problem. Use 3-5 gallon fabric pots.
I try to keep my whole grow around 75 degrees until late flower, I let it drop to 70. I keep my humidity around 65-70 at first cause I’ve had bad luck with seedlings and high humidity. Once in veg I keep it around 60, in flower I go from 50 to 30.
It’s a very simple plan that’s been successful, repeatedly now, but not high-yielding.
Was thinking of trying autopots and liquid nutrients, and switching to coco, but I’ve seen people grow monsters in soil and I’d rather master one thing before moving on to another.
I know my light isn’t very high power, but it’s a good quality light. I also just got a MarsHydro RP2000 which is advertised at about double the power.. I’m skeptical of its actual performance, but was too cheap to pass up so maybe that’s worth trying.
I haven’t done much training, or topping of my indoor plants. But topping and yield seem to be highly debated and the biggest grows I’ve seen aren’t manipulated in any way so can’t imagine that’s what’s limiting my yields.
