Tell me what you fellas think of this dude. Keep in mind this comes from a person who has been a lifetime into rock n roll and metal. Been there done the mosh pits etc.

I was stoned out and in a certain mindset and my ole lady turned me on to this dude.

The soulfulness and intent of his lyrics and sound and I was like wow. I
m being converted from a metalhead to a coalminer singalong.

Check him out tell me what you think or if you can relate.

Don't have t be a coalminer to understand hard times!!!!!

I thought his name looked familiar. My boss gave me an album of his as a gift a while back. This was my favorite off the album.

I like it. Good music is good music. I've been to a ton of shows Sabbath, Metallica, Rage, Zombie, Tool, etc. etc. most multiple times. But I rarely miss a Dwight Yoakam show.

I'm sorry but there are definetly a few kinks that need to be worked out in this here video feature. For one, I dont know what it,is until I click it and listen. No description given.
Other features like listening to 2 at once by accident

Very nice. Something about his soulfulness that is easy to connect to.

ya, I notice as I grew older and was exposed to different genres I found I had had tunnel vision a lot of my younger years and have come to really love a lot more music than just the devil rock and metal I grew up with. Good story here is its never to late to open and expand the mind. Love Dwight BTW

My wife has been part of my conversion, many years ago I took her to a Metallica concert, she in turn took me to my 1st country show which was Garth Brooks. I went to that show secretly knowing I was as a devoted metalhead thinking I was gonna hate the experience, boy was I ever wrong. :D He put on an amazing show.

so in the spirit of my country conversion, well keep in mind I'll die a rocker but this dude is gaining some popularity for good reason. I have found in my country leanings I seem to gravitate more towards the real life struggles and outlaw country sound than the gussied up pretty Nashville stuff that drowns the airwaves. Guess its my life in covert cannabis ops that fuel that eh??? Rebel at heart

Loud thunder, heavy rain
Thin line between joy and pain
It's a long strange trip, it's all insane
You ain't ever gonna be the same
Living life through the night
Thin line of a lightning strike
Sometimes the only light
When the moon is tucked away

Pistons pumping
Minds are racing
It's hard to sleep, man
When I'm shaking
Bad news surrounds me
It's always found me
Creeping up when things are good
Yeah, the dark days find a way

Loud thunder, heavy rain
Thin line between joy and pain
It's a long strange trip, it's all insane
You ain't ever gonna be the same
Living life through the night
Thin line of a lightning strike
Sometimes the only light
When the moon is tucked away

The camera captures
All the things that
Make us turn from
What we see
It's always moving
It don't stop rolling
I haven't slept in three damn days
Yeah but who needs that anyway

Loud thunder, heavy rain
Thin line between joy and pain
It's a long strange trip, it's all insane
You ain't ever gonna be the same
Living life through the night
Thin line of a lightning strike
Sometimes the only light
When the moon is tucked away
You ain't ever gonna be the same
