I saw 0 shows in the 70s. The best years 'on the bus' were certainly before my time. I didn't see The Grateful Dead until the late 80s, and by the early 90s I had completely lost interest. They just weren't what they once were. If physics, biology, and the time space continuum someday permit, I'll go back to the 60s and 70s at an age where I can enjoy myself!

I have allways said its about the music first and foremost. The acid, shrooms, pot, were fun, but the Music is what it should be about.
Kinda sad to see the way it turned out in the end.
Was glad to see at the Last furthur show this month at Red Rocks plenty of young very pretty hipster girls that are on the bus not all fucked up, they were there for a good time
Was also a Warf Rat for many years.Warf Rats are sober deadheads, we supported each other and held meetings during the break, way cool...

Red Rocks, Red Rocks. You stop rubbin it in CM. I've been wanting to hit a show at RR for a while. I'll make it there someday.

Was raised on the Dead. Wasted my youth on bullshit music. Made it to one Dead show Giant Stadium I think 94. Not many bands can make me feel the way I do when I listen to the Dead. -SE

RR, nothing comes close. Saw Joe Cocker at another venue the week after Further and despite being 6th row center VIP Yicket, the sound sucked, Joe was pissed.. Joe told me Red Rocks is his favorite venue. Saw him with Tom Petty there last year and it was awesome.
I got a deal with a buddy for general admission seating at the Rocks. He gets in line at 6am. We get 3rd row dead center. I buy his ticket, a few PBR beers, bring dinner, the show on disc, if its Furthur. I show up 1/2 hour before show win win...

There is a Music industry mag called Pollstar. They have a best small venue award. Red Rocks kept winning the award, so they took Red Rocks out of the running and just called it The Red Rocks Award. True story.
