Hi. I recently started some new seeds and for some reason this one was yellow very shortly after popping out of the soil but the other ones were green and fine. This is a gorilla glue #4 auto. (I know the soil looks dry but I just refilled cup with more soil before taking this photo) thanks!

what kind of soil, medium is that ?
( brand, line or detailed composition )

How often and how much are you watering ?

look like you have an healthy plant next to it, so may be genetic also, high ratio of variegation or albinism is possible.
so i doubt light distance and intensity have something to do with it ...

I know I'll get hate for this but it's miracle grow seed starting mix. I normally just start out with that and then transplant to much better soil as they get a little larger. This is what the others look like. Also I am watering maybe once per day unless the cup still has some weight to it.

Looks like it was a soilless media no nutrients. The seed has enough nutrients to get it that far. If it just went into better soil it should fix its self.

I started it off in the miracle grow. I was thinking maybe it didn't have enough nutrients but the others seem to be doing good. Maybe a bad seed?

Howdy, and welcome to the Farm! 🤠

Over watering (watering too often) and lights being too close are the usual culprits. Seedlings do not require any added nutrients until they have at least their first set of full leaves.
