What could cause one plant to lag far behind in size but still show signs of maturity at very close to the same rate?

What could cause one plant to lag far behind in size but still show signs of maturity at very close to the same rate?

Same seeds, same environment in all aspects, what could cause this and how can I help this one catch up.

This is my first grow, so far it’s been going as good as it gets.

Both are:
Gorilla Cookies Autoflower from Sonoma Seeds

Using GH Trio (2.5mL micro, grow, bloom per gallon) with dechlorinated and pH’ed tap water to 5.8 - 6.3. Watering 750mL - 1L per plant, 19/5 light cycle with a Phlizon 600watt (100 true watt) in a DIY grow box just barely 3/2/4, with DIY intake/exhaust with a DIY carbon filter with an airflow fan and humidity maintained with wet towels changed daily. I only feed/water when I see droop in the leaves or the fabric pots seem pretty much dry. I also alternate (water, feed, feed) and haven’t had to stray due to lack of necessity AS FAR AS I KNOW. I have been using LST as my height is limited and it has done wonders for the one but the other seems slower overall.
As far as I can tell, other than a weird leaf mutation or possible a cut or rip in the leaf of the smaller one, there have been no signs of nutrient burn with the amounts I have been giving. Also the bigger ones stem is significantly thicker, and the main thing I’m worried about is that it’s just about week 5 and I have basically no chutes off the smaller one from the nodes other than off the first true leaves.

Sorry for information bomb I just want to make sure I give all info necessary to save time replying!

Diff. phenotypes/genetics within the strain. Everything is so hybridized and mix matched anymore nobody really knows what any number of plants will do. I just call them runts and pull around 50% of them now. Use to cull more of them. Sometimes they will surprise you in late veg and get there grow on. I have a runt in grow right now and it will never be like it's bigger sister. And hell I came home after a motorcycle trip and it's main top was folded over in a sealed tent. Only the wife was here and she does not mess with grows at all. No pets got after the plant. It's like it just had a little cellular death at the main stalk and fell over just as it was going to catch up with it's sister. I just shrugged my shoulders and moved on.

Unless they're clones and treated

there will be the individual genitics of the parent plants controling their offsprings characteristics. While many will be similar the variation of the gene combinations will produce a percentage of different characters or pheno types.

One pair of plants can produce hundreds to several thousand seeds showing a full expression of the DNA combination of the two parent plants through their individual seeds as a group. Most growers only grow 10 as that's normally how they're sold and we only see a slice of the different combinations with usually 1 or 2 somewhat different to the rest.

Many believe this to be a built in survival mechanism. Different strengths and weaknesses to survive in different conditions.

Breeders, on the other hand will usually not waste time on any smaller weaker slow growth or other unwanted pheno(s). Personally I've put a lot of plants in the composter within their first month. Some I've given two months and still didn't develop for what I needed or was looking for but I make my own seeds and can plant 10 to 100 of several strains when I want.

It's all about the genetics when you grow from seed but that's the best way to find a plant that has all of the characteristics you personally are looking for and then using that plant as a mother and keep her growing indefinitely taking cuts or clones and then growing them as they will be (are) that very same plant.

On a side note I've seen some of the smaller girls become quite nice adult plants so if you've got plenty of room and nothing to replace it with grow on and enjoy it when it's ready.
