If you ran white widow/critical mass/big bud or another dense bud strain you could get close to a pound in a 3 x 3 with a 315 CMH. Some have hit the 1 pound mark in that exact setup.
Good strains and plant maintenance can get you there and the 315 can power it.
he couldve yielded 7 ozs from his size pots and space with cfls, stop covering for shitty lights and tell himthe truth. vipars have nowhere near the red light needed to maximize yield potential. he will continue getting nominal yield off of the junk light
3 7 GALLON plants only yielded 7 zips, he shouldve yielded at least 2 lbs bro
ok youre right i thought he had a 4 x 4 for some reason i was reading a bunch of posts and was high af lolThis is somewhat doobious advice (see what I did there?). I agree your light isnt the best and a 315 would be much better. But the limiting factor for your yield is the footprint and canopy depth of the tent. Sure, a master grower with a very high yielding heavy strain MIGHT be able to push close to a pound in there using DWC or coco. But a much more realistic expectation is closer to half pound.. maybe 10-12 oz if it's really dialed in with most strains. Pulling more than that would require seriously overcrowding the plants.
Thinking he should have yielded 2 pounds from a 3x3 tent is just ridiculous regardless of pot size.
Strawberry fields...!LEDs do fine for growing..That's all I use these days (I don't really need the yield, but I do need QUALITY!)

There are 2 SF. The one I grew was from Crockett and it is Strawberry Banana x Tangie. Nothing special and easy to grow. She did get a bit big during stretch, maybe 2-3 times. A bit Sativa leaning, great and tasty rosin too..yield was a little above average.Strawberry fields...!
I’m currently vegging that myself, just correcting soil ph, gonna veg another probably 2-3 weeks (finally down to 7.0 ph soil slurry)
Anything particular about this strain? Finding info online is difficult unless it’s a known name like strawberry cough. Strawberry fields I get little to no info online. Thanks man.
Seed: Neville Haze
Seed to harvest: 132 days
Veg: 2 months
3 7 gallon pots in fox farms soil.
Two viparspectra 450Watt LED lights.
After all this time and waiting and I only end up with 7oz! I was expecting at least a pound, so I’m pretty disappointed. I thought the plants looked nice and big too... idk how to fix this I had the same yield with 5 autos in my last grow! I did the scrog method and topped 3 times. Could it be too much topping? PH is fine, the light schedual messed up once from a power outage in flowering... Would I be better off not doing scrog next time? I really don’t get what I did. Any help is much appreciated. Here’s some pics of the grow too,

This really sums it up perfectly. I would just double down on veg time. More time you spend in veg more potential bud sites you allow to create.Congrats on the harvest. Longer veg, bigger tents, more lights, more cost to grow=more harvest.
Perpetual grow is we’re its at . Constant harvesting. Been pulling 1.5 pounds every 6 weeks . Flowering 10 plants n two different tents .
How big of tents do you think is required for that? I’d like to get to that point myself. Or is it more about training the plant than it is about shear tent size?thats awesome, my main goal is to get a perpetual harves every flowering cycle that produces a lb.
im getting there, i have a veg area and a flower tent
tent i have currently is only 2.5 x 2.5 so im trying to do it in that. i dont think this go around i will get a lb, might not be possible with that size tent but im tryingHow big of tents do you think is required for that? But a 4x4 is 16 sq ft as opposed to 9 sq ft for the 3x3....big difference.I pull over 2 lbs in a 4x4
I pull over 2 lbs in a 4x4
