So I know what preflowers are and mine are nice size ...but here's the thing....my preflowers aren't producing any hairs....they basically looks like year drops that empty inside super weird and I'm about around 3 months in on veg ....any info would be helpful as to know why my preflowers aren't giving me hairs

Not all strains will show preflower the same as others. Strains with a heavy leaning to the indica side may not show until they are under 12/12 lights. Sometimes you have to take a clone and throw the plant under 12/12 to determine sex.

Awesome thanks for the tip....honestly I had that in my head that maybe since it's still over 12/12 that it wouldn't show was like my only guess but had to ask around ha appreciate it bud

Just started to flower , auto day 50, this is how they run, you will start seeing hairs or pistols.will get bigger and form together.

yea but don't throw it in 12/12 if you dont have to - then ya gotta wait for it to reveg and it gets all stupid on ya...the teardrops with no nut sacks are telling you plenty

Hey bud...um, pre-flowers are just single or double white hairs that show up at nodes. You can just start cutting the light down to 12 & 12...12 hours of light per day or less (doesn't have to be exact, in fact extra darkness may initiate faster budding) like, you don't have to wait until you see pre-flowers. I'm using Bud Ignitor lately, it just works as it supposed to. In fact tonight or very soon, I'm cutting the lights down to 12 hours per day and 2ml Bud Ignitor per litre of water pH'd to about 6.5...use that for the first two weeks, second week with Monster Bloom nutes, half dosage 2nd week with the Bud Ignitor, then full strength third week and on...here's some pictures of pre-flowers though...

So, here's the deal started some old seeds about 4-6 weeks ago; had a defective quantum ballast, sent it back and got a solis tek matrix during weeks 1-2. I've been reading up on all things growing during this grow (been coolin on the bench for a couple of years) and I see many more experienced growers say just wait for the pre flowers to sex your plants. I know I could take a cut and flower it to determine sex, but I'm waiting on some more beans to arrive (beans I popped are 3+ yrs old, had low germ rates) and the strain I'm running could use the extra veg time (killing kush, very Indica dom structure). Now, I hear that plants will show sex in about 4 weeks of veg, but I've never seen this before or have I???

Here's some picks...it doesn't seem to be showing sex to me. What exactly do pre flowers look like? I know how to sex plants in flower just fine ftr. Any insight would be greatly appreciated....thanks!
