Sounds like the kit I'm looking at has the A driver. I'd have to swap out the drivers. Not sure it's worth the trouble. I have a kill-a-watt.

Yes, the HLG 288 kit that I bought (V1) came with an UNDERPOWERED A driver..That's why I now buy components and do it all myself..(easy after the 1st one, and you are getting great lights!)

You might TRY and ask whoever you buy from if they could swap for a bigger supply, but I have no idea what they will say.

Comes with a Meanwell HLG-240H. Any concerns about that?

No concern. My 260 hlg xw with the 240h thpe "A" driver works just fine. I pull 283 watts at the wall. No problems with the internal dimmer either. Just a small screwdriver to turn it up or down.

Ditto , I'm in a 4 x 4 tent wanting to ditch the hot azz mars hydros , I'm thinking of getting 2 of the 260 xw , any advice , too much light or just right , as I do believe their dimmable . should light her up good .
anyone else using them in a 4 x 4 ? and whats the amperage draw anyone know ?
