im currently still living at home with family they are ok with me smoking but having a plant is out the question so i want to get a discrete grow box which is big enough for 2-4 plants i can either put it in a cupboard or under my bed which is a lift up so that would be a little harder but better concealed. I would really need to be smell proof and quiet, and it would need to be roughly a 16 inch cube with a little leeway, , ive been looking at a lot of different sites and haven't found anything. Im a complete novice when it comes to growing so this is why ive come to you guys who can hopefully hook me up with a good product or just some sites which you have used or something

P.s Im from the Uk

Yea that really isn't enough room to flower out a plant and have any requisite equipment.

The smallest you might be able to flower a plant to - if you have a compliant strain - might be right about 12 - 18" - and you still need lights, air flow, and things like that.

You could build something based around - maybe from the hip here - 3 42w CFL's and a few computer fans that might come in at 30' when all is said and done.

Eitherway - even flowered straight out of a a rooted clone - you'd still be hard-pressed to keep the plant short enough - especially because you are allowing less than 1-1/2 sq-ft of floor space.

But 16" to a side isn't really enough space to do this dude. If you can - at least - double that - then maybe we could work something. Maybe.

Then why are you giving measurements in US standard?

You mean in inches? i dunno thats just what everyone uses online so i just went with it lol

i can allow it to be bigger if it is properly disguised, as it would have to be in plain view under my desk

Um. This is do-able - but if want to build it yourself it takes a decent bit of talent and experience with fabrication.

If you haven't done cabinets or stereos or wood-working at least - I would definitely buy one.

Here is one I just googled to give you an idea of what is available:

Ive had had a look at the one you linked to before and its a bit of of my price range and lucky ive been doing wood work for a couple of years so i had the right guide i could build one i just have no idea about what i need and what to do

i actually found found a perfect box, what else do i need?https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.invalid.com/hphotos-ak-ash3/539373_503860546298294_148724552_n.jpg

The box is a perfect size and fits where i want it to perfectly literally about a fraction of an inch, so what parts do i need to purchase?

Look man grow boxes aren't really that hard to build but I'm not going to design your box for you.

You seem like you have zero information besides "I like weed" and "I don't have $800 to spend on grow gear" . . .

Anyway - you should try pricing out 150w and 250w HPS lamps as well as some basic ventilation items and a carbon scrubber and see if you really want to get into this . .

And that link you posted doesn't work.

ive thought about what you said and i looked at some other things and i decided to go with a pc grow box ive hollowed it out fitted the two fans and wired the to one plug. i have the power strip in the case with the fan plugged into that.

My question now is will 3 CFL's be enough? and should i use some 'flexiglass' ( i think thats what its called) to put inbetween the lamps and plants but i dont know if thats a good idea.

3 will be fine for now, you can always use a "y" adapter later if you need more. Make sure your cooling/ventilation is on spot before adding more. No on the "plexiglass" you want the cfls as close as posssible without burning. Just make sure again on the temps

Use three 23w cfls - one w a color temp of 6500K and two w a xolor temp of 3500k.

the 1 6500k for vegging and 2 3500k for flowering? ive seen other things that say 2 2700k bulbs should be used for flowering :/

for right now run the 1 of each if thats what you have
