excellent. reminds me of queensryche, malmsteen, metal church, iron maiden and perhaps omnia.

I like Omnia! I dont speak human, I dont understand a word youre saying~
Makes sense since its a celtic folk band. Spain before roman invasion was celtiberian so we have similar folk genres depending on the region specially in the north. Celts were mostly in the nort while Ibers were in the middle and south of the peninsula but they ended up mixing. Then came the romans and after that the arabs. We have all sorts of folk music here hahaha.

You can hear the arab influence in that one, theyre from Valencia which is in the middle of Spain so makes sense that they chose celtic and arab influence hahaha. Arabs influenced the music in the south of Spain (flamenco music came out of that).

i came across this vid years ago and loved the shit out of it......... well.............. i do think the female on the harp is hot as hell. i got into a bit of their stuff but rarely listen to it as i got a good bit of stuff to listen to. i usually run it in with a lot of other stuff.

hmmmm, sound like there may be a highly diverse populace as to cultures. how do they get on with each other. is there an overiding brotherhood that may develop among peoples of different tribes/cultures. sounds like there is much shared at least in the folk/ancestral roots of the music there. 🙂

Well, besides some catalonians and basques, most of Spain identifies as spaniards because all of that happened centuries ago. There's cultural differences in between regions but theyre all considered spanish culture by now. The basque country language is euskera, a language that is not linked to any known language. We have six official languages, depending on the region there's a second language, but almost everyone also speaks spanish.

In my case I speak spanish and catalan because I was born in catalonia and they teach it in school. My family doesnt speak catalan because they came from andalucia (one of the regions where spanish is the only language).

You can see the difference in between peoples though. My father has some arab genes thats for sure, I got the big nose from him 🤣 and people asked me more than once if I put make up on my eyelids because theyre darker than usual, another arabic trait.

i speak english................ well somewhat 😁. i think it's cool as hell to be able to speak more than one language. i can count to 3 and say hello/goodby in german, i think. 😟🤔

that's cool as hell. i have always enjoyed interacting with those who are different than me. great dynamics, far more interesting than sticking to those who are too similar. so much more to learn and enjoy.🤠

the nose thing, that's where the sweet buds say "my what a big nose you have" and you respond "the better to smell you with" 🙃.

i got into one of their vids, i think it's summoning the gods and similar to omnia i got into more of their stuff. love the whole sound. it seems that there is so much music that is truly excellent beyond heavy metal (my main squeeze) and such. much of it is coming from so many places beside the usa. it's just Cool As Hell 😍.

alright, i can't deny that the women are sweet as hell, alluring, mysterious, smoldering.......... 😶‍🌫️🤗🫠
the music is still Cool As Hell........ 👍👍👍👍👍

In theory I should know either french or german too, its teached in many schools as secondary secondary language hahaha but I wasnt paying much attention and instead of doing 4 of one we did 2 of one and 2 of the other because the teacher changed. Je ne pas parle français, je suis... Eledin oui, um... omelette au formage? 🤣 Ich bin ein gruber? I did my best sorry I suck 🤣

Same, there's so much music around coming from all places of the world that is impossible to stick to one group for long for me. I usually have a few songs of each group that I enjoy and some I forget but find later and I rejoice.

Okay enough of spanish music just one more cause it shows the variety. This kind of folk (mixed with electronic) is from the nortwest of Spain. They love their bagpipes there! Its like the scotish part of Spain lol. Nowhere else in Spain there's high academies for bagpipers. But I dont listen to much spanish music to be honest, there's very good music but the world is much bigger. You might even recognize the song, it was very popular back in the day.

The official video is beatiful it shows the landscape and some traditional dancing but sadly its so old that the audio quality doesnt make it any justice.
Here it is in case youre curious (says high quality but the video is from 16 years ago so yeah... that was high quality back then hahaha)

Okay one more because this touched my heart 😅 I found one of my favorite basque songs sang in a school in wales. Those kids had to learn how to speak basque! WOW as I said its a language that has no link to any other language, very difficult to learn, even if they only learnt the lyrics. But yes, many people in Ireland, Wales and Scotland view northern spaniards as brothers. Ilargia means moon.

Original song, its beatiful. (again has millions of views but in old quality videos)

Okay I searched for the lyrics because I knew them years ago but I forgot, damn Im not crying youre crying
Try not to go back to the rain
say to loneliness not to come today
Na, na, na, na
you are the rope I hold on to and the one that makes me fall
the one that creates dreams, the one that makes them disappear
Na, na, na, na
for you, I would steal the moon every night
but you are blind to see its light
with a smile, then with a frown, you have affected me badly
my fire has gone out
don't be the only star of the night, you are not!
Na, na, na, na
say what I feel is not true
to believe in a moment we are not
Na, na, na, na

Then it repeats part of the lyrics. Didnt remember it being that deep. I used to listen to it when I was a teen.

that's pretty cool, truly beautiful. i may not understand the words but it doesn't matter. it's just as beautiful as if it were in english, maybe better. i've come across some heavy stuff that is so great, don't know what they are saying, the songs are that good.
