What me worry

Here is an early drawing (portrait) of the character that eventually developed into Alfred E. Neuman, the mascot & logo of Mad Magazine. The central image is flanked on the left with a mushroom cloud, and on the right with an ordinary mushroom. His hands are going through what appears to be a curtain and are holding up the card on which the names of the bands appear. If there was ever any one elem...ent of the 50's that foreshadowed the subversive counterculture of the 60's, it was Mad Magazine. All of the psychedelic artists had read it and had been influenced by it as well. It is indeed fitting and appropriate that Alfred E. Neuman is given his due homage in the form of an appearance on a poster for a Psychedelic Rock concert.

It was 47 years ago, on this day Back in 1967, that The Other Half and The Sons of Champlin played for two nights of Dance/Concerts at the Family Dog venue in Denver, Colorado. Light show provided by The Diogenes Lantern Works. This rock "Poster From The Past" is FD-D11 in the Denver series entitled "Expansion" It was created by two of the Masters of Rock Art: Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley…. Mouse Studios. It was printed only once.

My favorite all time band, still playing, saw them couple of months ago, better than ever.....

I know that guy! ^^^

M.A.D Magazine is awesome :p It's articulated and illustrated well... I may have read a few.

I started to get em from the library when I was like 9.

Most covers are artist commissioned paintings, which is cool. My avatars original 1970s painting was sold fairly recently for like 1100 bucks. The combo of it being MAD and A Clockwork Orange makes me think it's a steal.

Neat.

Mad magazine got me into art, it has gone down hill big time due to computer generated art. They probably draw roughly half the magazine now. Its all pop culture refrences of stupid people like miley cyrus and nikki minaj and shit. But the old classics and up until the late nineties it was excellent. They censored the shit out of it to, used to be grotesque squemish cartoons of zit popping crzies:confused:
