Marihuana shouldn't be illegals

cannabis shouldn't be illegal period. People should be able to grow it for recreational, medical, spiritual or financial purposes it doesn't matter. The problem with the cannabis community is people not being united, it's not the politicians business to decide what people should be allowed to use medical cannabis, that's between a health care professional and the patient. There's way more medical reasons for the use of pot then most states allow recommendations for. So every medical patient should grow their own? What if they can't afford to grow their own or don't know how? They shouldn't be able to donate for it somewhere? So me putting good on my family's tabel by growing medical cannabis is the problem? I should go get my self a slave job at some bullshit resturant ? Maybe go get some student loans and mortgage my future to learn how to get a good paying slave job? Lets be serious here.
Argeed 110% free the plant , legalize it grown in anyway you like and tax it like any other business ...

It is that's there reasoning behind there argument that the medical is a joke because people certainly have made it that way. The law was meant for sick people to have meds not to work work and retire from growing weed. People blew it up then the government says hey that's looking good why don't we just control it ourselves just like any other prescribed medicine. Now that's what's already happening like it or not the little guy growing for family medical needs like myself will be fucked and that's right?

Your rights as a patient to grow your own medicine should be the first thing we all must fight for.
Secondarily I believe there should be no shame nor blame let alone judgement put on the motives of others who support patients needs in a responsible manor. I do not believe you meant to do that.

KitsapGrapeApe; Dude you are so right on we all know many patients that cannot grow their own and need others to do it, but I think JLR comments were more aimed at irresponsible growers and so called collectives ripping off patients.

Yes we need to stand together against the bad which is the government politicians greed not fight each other.

if a law is passed to make a controlled substance easier for patience to access and consume but instead
what happens its instantly exploited and generally viewed as a joke but more so as a facade for guys to avoid taxes on an almost limitless income how can it possibly pass a vote again? rather then live comfortable united with the masses they selfishly and greedily choose to divide becoming the very reason medical will lose. now if we all were capable of uniting standing strong as a whole with some regard to the limits of the law would it even be an issue, of course not because our own fellow "patients" provide all the negativity and opposing points to the opposition.
thats the last ill say because I choose to stand united. no hard feelings just a bit of confusion and miss understanding thats all I dont pass judgement but i will voice my opinion. positive vibes fellow farmers ~~~~

I believe most would agree with you. There is plenty of greed graft abuse and corruption in prescription drug business as well. It's human nature it seems. Those folks will always be there but it is no excuse to shut down medical.

I stand with you 1st is to protect a patients right to grow their own. Next is to allow ONLY 45 plant grows for true collective purposes, this way patients who physically cannot grow can obtain meds (the point kitsap was making). The Washington draft proposal has some true commie socialist shit in it. Getting between you and your dr. And other shit. There was nothing mandated in 502 for medical. How can they dismantle the previous medical law pass by the legislature and signed by Gov. gregoir. A legal challenge needs to be made.
Maybe a stupid idea but perhaps we need a self regulatory system. Maybe a union or association of sorts for collective grows? This way only approved members can place product for donation? This would force the greedy folks to the black market. And keep its members honest? Just a topic for discussion.

Let's hope sanity reins over govt. greed.
Love to all,

Kitsap I belive you are miss understanding my position that being said I have much respect for you and have admired your work since i joined the farm, no hard feelings. Respect to you also Dr for mediating and also your input.
It's just this medical law was such a huge victory in patients rights and is becoming less about us and more about recreational and tax $.

JLR,
Right on Brother!
The hard fought victor for patients rights is never over it seems. IMHO; There are many legal issues with washington state ending the patient and collective law. In the draft proposal; First off they are blatantly violating anti-Trust laws. HIPPA Laws, right to privacy laws, I can go on. The draft proposal was like something from the old Soviet Union no shit. On the LCB website it still has a section from when the recreational law was passed saying the passage had no impact or mandate to effect medical, yet they went ahead and did this draft proposal that has everyone up in arms. This is a fight no doubt, they will use (as you pointed out) the argument that medical has gone wild and out of control. This is mostly false but there are examples they can point too and will. We have to counter. I am going to through something out there, a way to fix this for patients.
A Washington State Association of Medical Cannabis growers WMCG. This would be a private self regulatory group to protect patients rights (from the state). Say anyone who wants to grow medical must follow existing collective laws no exceptions. To do this all (dispensaries) collectives\growers, anyone who has product for donation would need to forced by law to be members of the WMCG. Regular inspections to assure min. regs (outlined in collective law) are adhered too, outlets could only have approved member product for donation. This would need to include product testing and labeling as well. This would end the large medical grows and force them into the recreational world or return back to the allowed limit and become members. Anyone who is a member should be protected from the state. The state can visit the association (one stop) to check records for assurance on compliance.
I know this is idea is not ideal, and some will not like it but at least I am trying to begin a discussion on this. There are alot of smart folks here. Folks please beat this idea around but at the same time propose something better.

Can I like this twice! Yes please this is BASICALLY exactly what we need. Yes it would need more specific detail but the premise is there in spades! Washingtonians please let's come together and those in violation of the medical guidelines I hope you realize you'll ultimately be the reason your not going to retire off this shit and Secondly not only will we not be able to make any sort of living but in fact we will be paying cash and taxed heavily for our medicine!

JLR I hope more folks chime in with input. I would like to contact my rep in Oly and request a meeting and perhaps go before the legislature in open session to explain why the LCB proposals cannot go forward. And propose some changes to the existing collective law and to provide teeth for the new regulatory Association for enforcement. Much like they do with unions. The association would be staffed by its own members.
Details are needed I wish there were a way to gather us to discuss this. EX and folks appear to be meeting about the LCB proposal but I have not heard back from them regarding a meeting.
Recreational growers get $3 a gram, processors get $6 a gram, retail gets another $3 a gram, then comes the tax. So the price for a OZ would be something like $420 bucks how is that for ironic.
Simply the LCB wishes to enter an existing business, eliminate any others, and then Jack the price that is classic Anti Trust, and consumer protection act violation.
