Man lately I am having some terrible luck. Killed it in my last run and now I just got done with pm, and last night I found an aphid.... I have seen a lot of suggestions for imid( Bayer tree and shrub) and merit 75 but only for veg? I am about 10 days into flower today and it will be a 9-10 week crop. I know my last harvest was bug free and I'm pretty sure I brough these fuckers in from a bag of coco. As I am new to coco I have never seen one of these fuckers in promix in 5 years. Pissed as all hell but success would be nothing without falling down a few times. My girls look sad as all hell and they deff didn't about 2 weeks ago which tell me the outbreak most likely happened recently when I added some fresh coco . Light sensitive as Fuck. These fuckers are big and black. Here is a pic. Please keep in mind I am in flower but only 10 days in. Would merit or imid be ok if I pushed the crop back to 10 weeks. Oh by the way I have been using caps benes for like 4 crops 1x a week. Just started brewing a batch last night for full strength, but this shit gets expensive when u have to make 20 gals at full strength non diluted....... I didn't even do the full 20 tbs of foilar and root I only did like 8 and I still feel like even that takes a huge dent Outta the kilo bag. Am I just wasting bennies trying to kill aphids at this Bennie/gallon ratio @Capulator ?

Root drench w azatrol or azamax. If problem persists repeat in 10 days. You will not be disappointed. 1tsp per gal my brother.

Clean up the room. Not plant debris. Remove any dead,dieing drooping diseased decaying or discolored leaves

Keep the fan on em they dont like the breeze. Go get em tiger

Gnatrol and sticky traps worked for me.

Yeah yellow sticky traps. Dont get em stuck to your beard lol

Hit em with strongest rate of azamax drench 2 days in a row about 5 days ago( for fungas gnats I didn't know about the aphids at this time). Seems to slow the fuckers down a lil bit but there is most deff still some around and I don't really know how they move around in the first place. I will buy another bottle of it and hit em again in a couple days and see how they react. Will be hangin some stickys up tonight

Also, can someone reccomend a nice fogger for my foilar? Does it have to be a specific fogger? My room is 18x15x9h

Imo give the aza a chance to take effect bud. You dont wanna fog those gals ove some aphids

I wanted to fog with caps benes for maximum coverage. I feel like every time I spray by hand there is always something to be missed

You could get better coverage w a fogger than to root drench?. Your gonna end up knocking back the plants bud. Patience. Tbat azas gonna get it.

How bout just some plain water on em? Tried that? I would just focus on disrupting them till that aza metabolizes.

Also if u keep the rm as cool as possible. ..

Plants love caps foilar. When u drench a pot with aza the fuckers scatter. Imo I think it would be beneficial to drench the medium and fog at the same time to get the scatter fuckers. At this point I don't think a organic foilar is going to knock me back a bit at all. These girls need some help ASAP.

Imo pests are usually a symptom of a bigger problem. Hows the general welfare of the garden? Particularly the mom?

Ill bet you saw a surge in the aphids when it started to get warm again yeah?

So make it cold again. And wind lots of air movin. Make their lives hell. Have you ever sat down for a meal in a wind storm? Heh heh

The whole garden was the best most vigourous veg garden I've ever ran in veg until about 3 weeks Ago. I don't have moms I clone before I flower a plant to stay within my legal numbers... It all happened when my plants got to crowded. High temps and high humidity boom I had pm over night. I am now pm free but I am left with these fuckers. Like I said never seen them in my life and I'm almost certain it was from a coco bag. Will have to switch my brand of coco and/or start cooking it or running boiling water through it

Hey bro I got aphids from buying a large house plant from lowes in 08...I never could completly get rid of them bitches..I shut down for 30 days and lost 5or6 mother plants with all my flowering plants being lost...I did not find them until I was overun..maybe u catching them early u can kill them bastards....good luck

Ahhhh deff not inspiring words lol. I hope I caught them early.... I think I did..... I don't see them by the thousands yet

Right now, I think you need to be certain of the type of aphid. If this is the young of the root aphid, then the "gnats" you're seeing could be the flyer stage of root aphids, and you'll just piss 'em off using shit like Azamax.

When I had RAs I had to go nuclear on them, and I still lost all my genetics that were infested. Spectracide with Traizi.. cide? I can't recall, thank God it's been a few years. First be certain of what you have.

I'm pretty sure I have a root aphid. Don't know how far in depth the species goes/varies but I will look further into it tonight.
