Airflow was my biggest issue, or lack there of... Getting over paranoia (can everyone smell my grow? Will the power company call the popo cause my power useage jumped 50%, it was only 5%, remember, paranoid,lol) was the biggest hurdle for me...

Overdoing it. I tend to do too much, add too much and my attempts to push my plants hard (like I do most things) have resulted in a finished product that was too green...
Canopy management and proper veg will reward me with better yields.

Start up cash and access to good seeds. Equipment was expensive back then.
