Hey folks. New to growing. I played them outside a week ago mixing in some quality soil with the native. Had a little rocky start but getting it down I think. I'm hesitant to cut on it with the issues I've had which were droopy plant with some fan leaves yellowing and dying. I added some nutrients and watered more, seems to be doing better. Should I just bend the plant to get the lower to grow out more or do i really need to top it? Two of my plants were toed very early but even those could grow out more out the sides. What everyone's thoughts

Hey Wes , how much time do you have before flower cycle starts ? If you have 3 weeks , go ahead and pinch / top her
On the other hand nothing wrong with just letting her grow naturally straight up , she should give you a nice big cola ...
Just personal style , why not try both , your topped plants look really good ....

Bending is not mandatory , not sure why everyone thinks this ......
Didn't think it was. I see it as a alternative to topping. Just giving more light to the lower half, not intended for making the plant stronger just trying to achieve more tops.

That's a good point maybe I'll just keep the one natural

This is true to some degree... but as you can see on mine I've only bent mine under the net. It hasn't been topped once yet. I would have had to top it a shit ton to achieve all these tops.

Tho honestly I believe in using all the training methods you can. Lst fim etc...

Hey great lakes , yes , but if you don't have the time to veg , and it's your first grow , might be just as well off letting her grow without a additional stress ...

Is it in the ground or what size pot ?
I don't think your example is what Wes plant is going to look like at this point in time ....

No it wont look like mine since mine was started months ago. I was just showing that with proper bending you can achieve a lot more tops if done right. I was just sharing as a example that lst is definitely an amazing method.

After they fill up my net I will fim them and then add another net and repeat til the end of july.

Yea I understand , no dis meant , just didn't want Wes to get the wrong idea at this time , but for sure your method is the way to go , and something useful .....sorry if it came off as obnoxious

Haha it didnt...no problems at all :)

I'd top it, let the branches grow out and then bend them down and support them with a cage or bamboo when it goes into flower to open up the plant for more light.
