When asking " How much longer till harvest "

I'm just gonna say it because it's been bugging me ever since i've seen the above question. I realize most growers nowaday have the excellent phone camaras with magnifiers and they love to show their skills with the close ups of the trichomes which is of #1 importance in judgeing ripeness. But i'm a old fashioned grower who judge the whole health of a plant by it's age.

I'd just like to see 1 or 2 shots of the whole plant besides a dozen shots of magnified glaring sparkling trichomes like a cover shot for a magazine. I just wanna know if folks think i'm wrong? Don't you want to view the entire plant also? Thank you and please post comments and thoughts about it. I don't know who may read it but i won't be offended if you disagree.

Yes. I do, but I think some folks worry about it too much. It's not as if a few days either way matters much.

The entire plant does not really tell you what you need to know. I do a living organic grow. My plant barely get any fade before harvest and they usually take a bit longer to ripen. The up close tric pics are the only true way to tell if it is ready.

Agreed. Just different growing techniques will look differently.

Oh i agree with that but most plants in reg. soils or other mediums will show degrading leaf or aging plant material. At least mine do and i don't use all organic. I just add well decomposed stuff to my soil mix.
