... just a technicality I suppose, but if a seed producer states 60 days flowering, does that mean 60 days after the 2 week stretch, or the day the lights go 12/12?

from the start, but theres some wiggle room. i dont count days or expect the plants to do exactly what is told.the grower himself/herself has to see the finish time a few times to exactly know how the strain is workin in your enviroment/grow room.

most breeders consider it 60 days from the start of 12/12. if your flowering a seed plant it could take a bit longer if the plant wasnt mature enough.

Ive always counted from the day of the first sign of flowers but I dont know shit!

Good Topic!

usually full potential of the plant is at least 1-2 weeks longer than what the breeders state. A lot of breeders, not all but a lot, understate how long it takes.

but maturity is different for everyone. some like the head high others want a strong body high. if you want the strongest meds add 1-2 weeks more to flowering. but watch your plants they will tell you when they are ready.

I start the count down rite when I start the 1st day of turning the light cycle to 12 on 12 off.. What ever the normal flowering time is I always go another week

60 days flowering time is 60 days from the flip to 12/12. The problem is that they are rarely correct and many plants like to go much longer.

Thanks for the answers guys. Mine showed a flowering time of 56 days, so I marked 60 in the calendar from 12/12 switch. Hopefully it's not too far off.

Alot of farmers start the countdown as soon as they flip.I start keeping track when i see action. The girls will let u know when thier ready& when u think they r wait another week. After a harvest or 2 u will b able 2 tell when thier ready.Learn how 2 check the trichomes and expierement 2 c how u like the final product!

Myself i start counting after the first Hair is seen ,normally 7 days after flipping the switch just remember always be patient at the end
