When does vegitation stage begin?

when does the vegitation stage start for seedlings? mine have the first set of true leaves they are about 4 to 5 days old

My opinion is that the veg period starts the second they break ground and ends when you flip them to 12/12.

vegetative stage begins as soon as the seedling pops through the soil, however if you are talking about vegetative in reference to a feeding chart then typically you feed under the seedling/cutting chart until the plant reaches 4-5 internodes or between 6-10". If you are using an enriched soil you may not have to feed at all for the first 2-4 weeks of vegetation, and I personally don't feed my seedlings anything until they get their first true set of leaves. I don't give seedlings anything until the cotyledons (first leaves you see when the seedling breaks ground, the little round ones) yellow out.

yeah with my soil mix i usually can get away with out feeding for a month or more. just water.
