Water when lights come on

You want any additional moisture to have the most time to dry before lights off. If you watered just before lights off and spilled/got some on your plants then lights go off that moisture will/can cause all kinds of problems. Best to have that 12 hrs of light to dry your watering out.

i water when they are dry. not to dry though. some days 10-20 gets watered. the next day 20-30 needs it. they perform so much better when you let them dry out a bit between watering. if all your plants drink the same rate then watering right after lights turn on would be the best time. just my opinion though.

lights coming on...Velvet Elvis has got it right. You prob won't notice a difference.I pick up the pots to check. When they are lite water them. Work very well with peat based mixes...have a little harder time with coco based mixes though. Just need some practice.

Humans do not like to have "Wet Feet" before going to bed. Neither do Plants.

I water every 2 days i hour before lights go out, works fine or me.
