Could America’s favorite ice creamery that pays homage to the stoner likes of Jerry Garcia, Phish, and Bob Marley one day infuse its line of ice cream with cannabis? According to the founders of Ben & Jerry’s, once marijuana becomes legal, the company would be completely open to offering THC-infused flavors.
Without any hesitation, founder Ben Cohen–who keynoted a cannabis conference earlier this year–casually remarked on HuffPost Live that it seems like a match made in heaven to him.
“Makes sense to me,” Cohen told host Alyona Minkovski matter-of-factly. “Combine your pleasures.”
Cohen’s partner Jerry Greenfield wasn’t quite outspoken–but he did sound pretty down with the dank:
Greenfield seemed a little more hesitant, but he didn’t rule it out.
“Ben and I have had previous experiences with substances, and I think legalizing marijuana is a wonderful thing,” he said. “It’s not my decision. If it were my decision, I’d be doing it, but fortunately we have wiser heads at the company that figure those things out.” [Huffington Post]
