I haven’t done a stem smell test in a while. The lights are out now so I’ll check tomorrow.

I rubbed a few of the stems and I’d describe the smell as a slightly sweet combination of pine and citrus. It’s a refreshing smell.

Day 20 of flower

Here are the before and after pictures of the schwazzing.

This technique is not without risk for strains that have a tendency of popping nanners when overstressed. And, this will stress the plant. The theory is that this causes the plant to flood the bud sites with hormones beneficial for bud development. This is a personal grow so even if it does put out a few nanners, it won't bother me to have a few seeds produced. Kosher Kush is believed to be a pheno of OG Kush, which has been known to produce female pollen when stressed, so, I am taking a risk. šŸ¤ž

Thanks. I started from a clone. I planted the rooted cutting in the 10 gal on 10/4/20, vegged and trained, and flipped to flower on 11/1/20.

Day 43 of flower (start of week 7)

Everything is going good. The buds are fattening up some.

The smell... is getting pretty intense.

Looking good! I ran KK last year, she stretched like crazy too, strong sour smell in flower. She went 81 days. Its the Sativa in her that needs extra time and makes her so stretchy. Keep up the good work

Thanks, I’m paying a lot of attention to her. It’s easier to learn a strain by doing just the one plant. I usually do a mix of different strains each grow and it’s hard to give each one the attention they need. And then there is the problem of having to compromise on the harvest date with multiple strains.

81 days, wow! I was expecting 70 days max. You wouldn’t happen to have pictures somewhere? That would be cool to see.
