When to take cuts from a new momma?

How long do you give your clones that are your mommas before you start taking cuts. The book says wait atleast 2 month before you start taking clones from her. Just want to get a feel for what people are doing these days.

Cloning should be done once the mother plant is matured,
when it get nods, mainly some 5th node will holds good, if you clone from the top, its will get fastest and replices of the mother plant better one...
