I have a 12 day old exoticgenetix sweat helmet feminized plant. She is doing really good and growing like crazy. Already working on 3rd node. My question is when should I top it? I know it's too early just wanted everyone else opinion. I plan on scrog once I do my final transplant. Thanks

That makes me happy! I was trying to convince myself they weren't because it was so young lol its my first grow and have worked really hard to dial in the optimal conditions! Thanks guys
It's a good sign but it's the trichomes on the buds that are the ones you are among for .

Very nice, detailed pictures. Above 5 is my go to as well.
Thank you. I just got the s21 and the picture detail on it is ridiculous! I'm thinking around 4 or 5 too. Just don't want to fuck it up lol

How big do you want to grow them? The more you top the shorter they'll stay. Do you want bushes or trees? Indoor? Tent? I like to keep bushes about 3 ft tall at 2.5 months before I flip

This affected your harvest? I mean If you have a strain which can reach 1.80m height and you cut it at 50-60cm, the yield will reduce? Or the plant, which now has a bushy shape, will give the same quantity?

If your gonna scrog why top it just train it under a net or tie down the top good luck ✌️

Yes and No. The best is letting the plant hit it's maximum growth for the largest yield. but when growing indoor, we top at the 4th node and keep them trained or they will grow thru the roof of your tent. Yeah, 4th node. That way you can train them all and when you top you should wind up with 10 colas per plant, and that is a good harvest in a tent.

Yeah I realized there is no need to top in future unless absolutely necessary . I just lst my plants for now on. Topping causes to much stress. And as far as a scrog. I was thinking about it but realized it would cause to much clutter with no ability to move plant. I'll stick with lst for now on.

#1-3 exoticgenetix sweathelmet mainline

#4-#5 red runtz lst before and after

For me bigger isn't always better. I'd rather have medium plants of great quality and not be overwhelmed with crowding. That's why I won't scrog. No ability to move around area or move plants.

We scrog the tent 2x4 but larger areas are too much work.

I've never had a tent to grow in. I've contained a small area with 4 - 5'x5' panda plastic frames that are hinged to make 2 folding panel's I can move and extend as needed. I'm lucky I have the space to grow in but I think too many new growers see a tent as a must have. I can understand the clean look and appeal but small ones are so restrictive in growth size. I can see scrog as the best way use the space you have if using a tent with more than 1 plant.
