when??

got couple babies-3in tall growing indoors. when do they get first nutes? they are only 5 days old but leafing like hell! growing in common potting soil and watered when dry.

i always wait until the leaves start to yellow a bit before i give the first feeding, plain tap water has enough nutes in it to feed them for the first few weeks or so.

If you just use plain tap water like mentionned above make sure you at least PH it.
If you do want to start feeding them nutrients just give it to them quarter strength.
However 5 days is a little young though. I'd wait a little longer.
But you can slowly start introducing it them.

IMHO-i would wait a week to ten days and start feeding quarter strenth at first.........

they get bottled water so ph should be ok. what redily available nute should i use? im on a poor mans budget. anyway,they are a test for next seasons outdoor. btw, they are afghan.
