Well my first attempt at growing seems to be a failure. Think a combo of way to small pots and not adding any nutrients. I figure these are done or close to it can’t imagine they are going to grow any bigger except the bigger one it was started a week or 2 after and in a 3 gallon bag. Anyhow going to start a couple more. They are auto flowers. Deciding whether to start outside, or inside. Still have all of August and a good bit of September in Ohio without threat of extreme temps. This seem long enough?

Better luck next time, I've got sad plants like that outside in the ground from piss poor genetics from Royal Queen seeds, I'm going to rip them up and plant vegetables once I get some more veggie seeds.

If I were you I'd grow inside because you don't have to deal with all the baloney outside, from now on for me vegetables grow outside and that's it

Beach bum throws in the towel! L O L! I was wondering what that white flag I was seeing over in Maine was about!!
😂🤣😂 No man it's not like that, outside is fine but it's not for me, I've got respiratory issues from years of chemical exposure in the work I used to do and I can't be smoking stuff that I've had to spray with this and that, can't do it Chuck

I don’t blame you in that respect! Luckily, about all I ever have to spray is water! My brother and buddies come up with their weed that they’ve had doused all year, and I won’t even smoke the shit! More power to ya! But I will eat their brownies!😂😂😂

Hey, if I decide to grow outside will it hurt them if I grow them outside and then move to indoor lights if the weather don’t cooperate? Or will that likely shock the plants. We’re I’m growing I probably only get 8 hours max of direct sunlight. Inside I’ve read 18 on and 6 off? The only seeds I currently have are auto flowers. Is it correct to assume more light bigger plants?

Yeah, you can do that! All of the indoor guys will scream bloody murder, that you are bringing bugs in to your tent, if you do that! But you can do it! And get them all the light you can! I think it’s customary to run autos at 18 six or maybe 20-4 The entire grow! But you can Start them outside, run them as long as you can, then finish them inside! And welcome to the habit!😁🐒

What strains did you get? And from where? Some autoflowers stay little runts. But others get nice and big. I think it depends on conditions and genetics. Mostly conditions probably.

Look into Korean natural farming and jadam. I say this because you get a completely different plant outside with all that sunlight the way nature intended.

LOL If I could just get the wife to understand things would be easier! She comes from a country where you are locked up and the key thrown away for drugs, it’s hard for her to comprehend that in our state it’s now 100% legal for us to grow up to 6 plants per person or 12 per household. Think she’s still thinking the plant police are going to knock on the door! 😂

Show Her the dispensary bill! Maybe that will open her mind a little! She’ll come around! Try and get her involved in taking care of them! Then you can argue over that! L O L

Oh my goodness 😳 yeah take her to the dispo and then I bet if you could get on your roof. I am willing to bet you will see a few neighbors are growing outside. I know I was surprised to see so many plants 🤣

Hell yeah Nova! Look at all these Ohio growers that have come out of the woodwork lately! Lol! Good luck to them! They are flying the flag! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a post from your neighbors in Indiana! Actually, my home state! Go Buckeye State!

I dont think any one touched on the pot too small thing.

Your pot size is fine for most autos. That's def not an issue there. Like mentioned they do look super hungry though. No idea about putting autos out this late. You're SoL with photos this late in the season really.

Very yes.

You may not get the consistency and control you get with indoor flower. But the highest quality most satisfying flower from the biggest, happiest, most glowing plants, ive ever had, across the board, was all outdoor grown flower under real sunlight. You just can't always bank on quality like that when you are at the mercy of momma lol. A real good outdoor strain, with a real solid outdoor run though... Indoor flower cannot compete with that, even though 99% of the time, it is better then outdoor lol.

If you move even a thriving, totally happy and healthy plant from LED, to outside in real sunlight for just an hour a day. Within a week it wont even look like the same plant anymore. It'll be glowing by comparison lol. (just an example, i dont recommend that for pest reasons lol) But its something ive seen on every single plant ive ever weaned into sunlight from artificial light, and the most extreme difference is usually from LED to sunlight. A plant thriving indoors under LED, Vs thriving outdoors under sunlight, even if the same clone, might as well be a different strain entirely with many plants. Not always, but it's usually the case ime. That's the whole reason i even threw clones outside in KC at all while DWC or coco or living soils were chugging along inside. Completely different structure, terp profile, and high all together then indoor flower.

Usually a bigger difference then comparing flushed hydro flower to it's living soil organic counterpart tbh.
