I am helping a disabled patient set up a tent. He wants to do a 4x8 on a seriously fixed budget.

What is the best VALUE out there? In other words the best bang for the buck.

Also, if anybody thinks a certain brand is trash, please share why so I can know what to look out for .

I have never done a tent grow. I remember back a few years ago somebody made one that put out noxious fumes that killed peoples plants. This guy is sick already...I dont wanna put some bullshit in his house.

TIA fellow farmers.

There are many different of tents out there. I dont think any new tents put out toxic fumes anymore. I think that was an isolated problem years ago. All new tents are no-toxic and say so right on them. HTG gardens make a nice tent, also there are some cheaper ones on E-bay. i had a friend get a 6.5X6.5X6.5 for $150 shipped. I thought it would be junk, but after I saw it together it was pretty nice and he is still using it with no problems. But I would definatley check E-bay for bargins.

I have never seen one first hand, but I was warned off the cheap ebay tents if being used for flowering. Quality zippers and light proof seams and cheap tents arnt found on the same ebay page, so Im told.

The toxic gas issue was with old hydrohut tents and has been fixed.

I run a 4x4 hydrohut silver and am fairly happy with it. Made a few upgrades to the light proofing by adding more velcro, other than that no problems so far. Strong enough that I hang my big ass Mountain Air carbon filter.

Im thinking about getting one of those cheap ebay tents for my mothers.

secret jardin, and growlab! Oasis are new and look nice but haven't heard anything nor seen em in person yet...

Could always frame out a 4'x8' with 2"x2" wood and put a tarp or reflectix to line it or some cheap OSB....just an idea.

Sunhunt here, love the thing. VERY sturdy. Love the sunhuts!

Ebay is not limited to cheap tents, they have hydroHut, Jargin etc.. and can usually be found at better prices then retail.

GrowLab are my choice, they can support more weight than ohers.

I have 4 secret jarden tents in total. Rocking the smaller ones now, but I love them. Especially version 2. They have reenforced corners and are even more sturdy than the originals. I have tried the 3x3, ~3x3, 5x5, all are fantastic.

+1 for secret jardin dark room 2

the fabric is thicker - better zippers and the rack system to hang your lights and scrubber from is great

Do these line of SJ's have the hard plastic corners though? thats what orientally steered me away from em, I like the Sun Hut's corners being part of the metal rod itself, with metal snaps an all that stuff. Just seemed WAY more sturdy.....

ML?

Asking because im in the market in the next few months for another tent to replace my current 4x2 for flowering and get a 4x4 for flowering and keep my 4x2 as a veg space/mothers.

Thanks in advance motherlode!

not metal corners - but its a newer high strength polypropylene plastic

really there is no issue with how sturdy this tent is and the fabric is the best I have seen on any tent so far

their larger model tents have stainless steel corners

Sweet, sweet. I just like the metal corners myself. To each his own right lol.

I like the SJ sizing a bit better though!

I've bought 2 cheap ones off eBay and they are a good design and material is very think. Zippers work fine and no light leaks other than a few pinholes(very tiny).
My 32"x32"x60" was 80$ shipped and my 4'x8'x7' was 190$ shipped.

I have 3 secret jardin tents a 2x2 fir my Ezeclone machine a 4x4 and a 5x5 there ok I won't buy another one I would have returned them if I could I also have a 8x8 growlab witch is awesome they can support well over a 100 lbs and are just a way better quality than the SJ's. The only one I would buy besides the grow labs would be the sun hut from sunlight suply there also really good quality and their frame can hold at least a 100 lbs the secret jardin's can only suport 60 lbs unless you get thermally big bad ass secret jardin tent but their all 8x8 or bigger and their all 1000 or more. If your on a budget I'd go with sun hut you won't be disappointed hope this helps peace .
