I have Rockwool cubes in DWC. Air temps are 77 and 55% rh. Water temps are 60 to 64 degrees. Is this mold? It's growing around the top of the cube where it's moist.

Thank you hiboy. That is very helpful. I am happy that it is nothing serious.

Fusarium root rot and Algae growth, cover the tops, the rockwool fiber is supposed to be "under the surface" of the partially hydrated clay pellets, not exposed to the light....

Next question or any others, hit me up.

I had this same problem when I introduced well water into my system for a short bit.

SM-90 will cure this. You can either put it in your res (per directions) or mix a spray bottle with 1 part SM-90 and 3 parts pure water. I found the spray to work better.

Spray once a day for a week and it should go away, if it pops up again just hit it some more.

Thanks.
