Whos growing from OHIO

I am reaping the harvest of the new Ohio law. My goal was twofold. First and foremost, I wanted my friends of 50 years to medicate for free. I have two grows under my belt and everyone in my circle has been supplied since May.

I sprouted five gorilla glue females indoors in December. They were photoperiod plants, grown in soil. I flipped them in mid-February and harvested in late April.

I sacrificed one of the 5 plants for clones mid-veg. I ended up with 7 healthy starts, for a total of 11 plants. Four went into soil. Three went into a RDWC hydroponic setup as a comparison. They all spent their time in veg mode while the first set of 4 flowered. The 7 plants were flipped to flower after the first harvest was out of the way. They just finished up late June.

It was a LOT of work, but my buddies are worth it! And the learning curve wasn't that steep. The experienced growers have mapped it out for us.

I went easy on the outdoor grow this year since I have no control over the weather. I also wanted to see how much sunlight and wind my greenhouse would get. I planted one Moby Dick, a single gorilla glue seed that was left over, and two super blue dream.

I will be sharing more information soon. Hopefully some of the other Buckeyes with more experience will chime in.

Meanwhile, you have everything you need right here on this forum. I have to give credit to the right folks as they have saved me years of learning through their hard knocks.

What you’re doing is truly impressive 💚
Thanks. I'm just blessed with a green thumb I guess. I used to garden with my dad. But he and I didn't grow any whacky tobaccy. That was my aunt Henny in Kentucky.

I intend to share what I have gleaned from these forums soon. Right now I'm trying to get in a little sunshine before fall. You know what they say about Ohio weather?! If you don't like it just wait a minute...it will change. That's been my biggest struggle here in the Buckeye state. That and bugs.

Hamilton County here is my riviera creek garlic cookie clone going good the beuce banner is hiding behind it but its huge also feel free to give me any tips (beought in from balcony last night these are outdoor grown)View attachment 2252722
Nice! My only tip would be to get a saws all to cut the doorway to fit that girl through. What size is that pot? Next year I’m going with a much larger one.

Only downside to being indoors is its heavy so when I take em back out later I gotta make my brother help
I started this journey at the beginning of the year, I was going to carry my plants out to water and all is swell yada yada yada. I watered them like twice outside and after that said F THAT hahaha! To heavy, they didnt like the sun for very long, bugs, did I mention heavy? 😂

Ohioan here. This is my 2nd run. week 4 from seed sprouting. Runtz autos in 3 gallon pots. 3x3 tent. Gaia green. Nothing fancy. Short lady on the bottom right got stunted a little from ripping the tap root out of the soil trying to remove the seed shell. Replanted her and shes still growing, lol. first run was x3 GDP autos, ended up with 10 oz's after drying / curing. once I get comfortable with the process I plan on converting a spare bed room into a grow room and add a couple more tents.

Beautiful set up, @OldSalty . Also, kind of you to help out others.

Looking good, @flynn513 and @Kegdas216

Welcome. Nice to see all the new growers here, or old growers that are now legal to do so in Ohio. This is my first real grow outside here in somewhat Central Ohio.

Here is another Ohio growers thread (pretty sure this is outdoor).

Yea he was actually the first person to reach out on the platform cool as hell he has a ton of knowledge so definitely follow and hit him up and thank you organic13 they really are monsters was glad to move them back outside

RealFarmer seems to be a great dude. Very nice and helpful.

I'm starting to think indoor is a whole lot less stressful. We'll see how the season ends. I know monsters can be grown here. I just need to be able to find the sweet spot between all the disease, pest, and weather.

Good luck in your grow this season. Cheers to a big ass harvest.

If any of you guys start a grow diary, tag me, so I can follow your grow. It's an easy way to keep your grow in one place. If you have questions, post them outside your diary though. Sometimes questions in your diary are missed.
