The cannabinoids present in cannabis oil is typically in the acid form, which the body can't process. It requires decarboxylation to convert it to an orally active form.

GW, isn't that also what essentially occurs when one smokes or vaporizes cannabis? The cannabinoids decarboxylate?

wouldnt this take place when the canabanoids hit your stomach acids? i know an oldtimer who eats hash. hasnt smoked in years, and i seriously doubt he would spending the kind of cash he does if he werent getting just as high...

Nope....regular, non-decarboxylated greenery is full of THC-A (I think, double check me). When you burn it, it is decarb'd into THC (and others) which is where you get the decent buzz from, not THC-A (a far weaker buzz). In cooking you need to decarb your green because it doesn't happen in the cooking process (AFAIK) and definitely not in your stomach...
