Why do my worst looking plants have the best looking buds?

I've done 6 grows now and these plants are by far the worst looking. I think because this is our first auto-flower and there's less time to fix issues.

The weird thing is... these TERRIBLY unhealthy looking plants have the most crystal covered sticky buds I've grown yet. The heck?

Restrict structural growth, more resources for resin.


Legacy growers kept tiny plants with big roots to keep resin quality high. It's true, when the skeleton grows big and strong it depletes resources from resin quality.

some phenotypes are just more covered in trichromes than some others, some have more or less big calyx etc ... just the phenotype ...

when you grow plants even from the same strain in larger amount from seeds you'll see such differences amongst phenotypes all the time ...
