1:1 are still even harder to find than CBD yes lol either you grow it or you dont have it. At least here, I have yet to see a cannabis club that sells 1:1 in Spain.

Also when buying CBD seeds is highly advisable to buy it from the official seed bank webpage. CBD seeds dont sell as often and you can find tempting prices in online grows but those seeds have been sitting there for God knows how long. One of the main problems my friend has is finding fresh CBD seeds, we gave up and after his current grow he is only gonna buy from the official webpage even if its way more expensive.

You know when a seed is old because its slower and very often the first set of leaves is deformed even though after the second node everything looks normal. My seeds germinate in 1 or 1 and a half days, his seeds take 2-3 days. He often has deformed leaves at first or albinism.

not only they are harder to find, but depending the breeder and strain they're often not as stable as the breeder claim, and thc:cbd ratio depending phenotype can vary widely from what the breeder claim.

1:1 is the new trend so some breeder throw some unstabilized strain to the market ...

yeah always order from breeders officials web site is a rule of thumb regarding seeds freshness and storage, i can rarely order from zamnesia, seedsman, or alchimia if a strain i want is out of stock from the breeder also.

Sometimes I get away ordering from an online grow shop but I only do it with strains that have tons of reviews so I know people are buying them constantly
Its also THC, for CBD the case is different, way more likely for it to have been there for a long time. (They barely have any reviews too in online grow shops)
EDIT: Oh or when a strain is new, in that case I know that the seeds are fresh because well, the strain is new hahaha.

Reviving an older thread because this stuff blew my socks off.

Anyone know of some breeders that offer something similar?

I found these which look intriguing. Anybody have any experience with them?

Yeah man, its harder to find good CBD than it is to find good THC. Its getting more popular every year, Ive been looking at the charts of CBD consumption around the world but mostly in Spain because I wanna get a CBD grower license. It will get better soon, more breeders, more strains, easier to find good stuff.

i found recently that expert seeds bank / garden of green wich seem to be rather the same irish company seem to have much much more CBD strains in it's catalog than some others seedbank,(both 1:1 and 20:1 25:1) dunno how trustable they are regarding cbd/thc ratio anounced on the store page.

like 66 cbd strains in their catalog ...

CBD/CBG cannabis seeds Archives - Expert Seed Bank

expertseedbank.fr

nearly half 1:1, 2:1,1:2 and half 15:1, 20:1, 25:1, 30:1 mixed all together wich make it painfull to sort the catalaog to find wich is wich

CBD flower smells different because of its terpene profile and curing process. It often has lower levels of certain terpenes found in high-THC cannabis, which can make it smell less skunky or pungent. Poor curing can also cause a "hay" or grassy smell due to excess chlorophyll. High-quality CBD flower should still have a strong aroma.

Nonsense.

All this hemp smells like nutes mold pesticides and perfume sprays. Just like the dispo weed last time I checked.

90% of people in America are smoking the shit and think it's legit. One man's "haze" terps is another man's "kush". Then someone with a brain buys the sack, and it's Botanicare flavored, not weed flavored.

I'm currently growing a CBD strain for the first time. I just flipped the light to the flower schedule. The strain is Royal Medic from RQS. It's supposed to have up to 10% of both CBD and THC. Regarding flavors, the website says it has "moreish and complex flavors of citrus, earth, fruit, herbs, and pine." Unfortunately, I lost my sense of smell because of a head injury, so I must rely on others to tell me how something smells.

The website says this strain is sativa dominant, but it looks like an indica strain to me. It grew rapidly and has dark green, broad leaves. Reviewers describe it as having sativa-like characteristics, so I'm wondering if RQS sent the wrong seed. I could provide a picture when the lights come on if anyone is interested.

Terpene profiles are doing most of the heavy lifting here. CBD-dominant cultivars are often bred for compliance, not loud aroma, so they lean earthy or grassy instead of skunky or fruity. Growers can tweak this with different genetics or curing methods. I’ve used CBN isolate as a comparison point before, since isolates highlight how cannabinoids themselves don’t carry those smells, which makes the terpene difference even more obvious.
