Just throw a disco ball in there, give 'em some black satin sheets, a Trojan vibrating thing-a-ma-bob sent in a plain brown paper wrapping and their hair will be blown back.

Hey Sea, Boom...... and Dave.
I think LEDs are great for disco's...........especially with some good ol' boom chicky wah wah!
Sea... your rude! Lmao

I know lots of people have had issues with LED's as an artificial light source for this area of horticulture. Being cheap I did the opposite to most and went for low cost, led's without regard for particular brands, and started using them in veg. If they didn't work ... no big deal.

I really cant wait to try some high end spectum specific models :) but yeah

My names Kebz ............and I use LED's!

Now you remember me saying I was cheap.....well not one of the panels I'm using was purchased from new. There are 4 90watt units and a 180watt unit which each cost between $65 - $124 from some auction site or other and the 300watt was the most expensive at $468. They were purchased individually (i'm a pauper) and initially I used them to cut down to a single 600 watt HPS with supplemental LED lighting and then REPLACED both 600watt hps lamps completely with LED's.However I'm not into any kind of brand loyalty and suggest looking for a broad spectrum well built unit for what you think is a reasonable cost, firstly to experiment with. I'm a great believer in learning from the experience of others so if someone uses a product and it proves itself.....

Dude that's not bad at all. The 500 one seems pricey, but as far as watts does it what kind if price does it cost to run. You know what scrape that.

What kind of heat do they put out? And how tall were those plants. That's what matters right. That and yeild? :)

Yield exceeds a single 600 but not quite what you'd get with 2 x 600 watt hps. Maybe a 600 hps and a 250/400, which makes a lot of sense.

LED's put out minimal heat looking at a 6 - 8 degree rise in ambient temps in my space.

Lets look at a plant up close

Thanks to all fellow farmers for your positive comments. I'm really happy with the way that
the buds are still packing on weight. In the background the plants look to have about another 2-3 weeks and the large plant in the foreground is only just starting to build bud sites, but I guess their ready when their ready ;)
