I know lots of people have had issues with LED's as an artificial light source for this area of horticulture. Being cheap I did the opposite to most and went for low cost, led's without regard for particular brands, and started using them in veg. If they didn't work ... no big deal.

I really cant wait to try some high end spectum specific models :) but yeah

There are 4 90watt units and a 180watt unit which each cost between $65 - $124 from some auction site or other and the 300watt was the most expensive at $468. They were purchased individually (i'm a pauper) and initially I used them to cut down to a single 600 watt HPS with supplemental LED lighting and then REPLACED both 600watt hps lamps completely with LED's.However I'm not into any kind of brand loyalty and suggest looking for a broad spectrum well built unit for what you think is a reasonable cost, firstly to experiment with. I'm a great believer in learning from the experience of others so if someone uses a product and it proves itself.....
