Marijuana is the best drug , then why our government is not legalizing it,
When California has legalized why not, We are also humans rite...
Its belong to the humans to take or not...
According to my knowledge, the human life span get increased if we take a few amount of drugs...

California hasn't legalized it, they've decriminalized it. You still get a $100 infraction for possession of up to an ounce with harsher penalties for higher quantities if you do not have a recommendation. With a recommendation, it's at the officer on scene's discretion whether or not he wants to have to show up in court, as it were.

That being said, the primary reason that marijuana is illegal is because in the early 20th century, industrial hemp presented a threat to the paper and logging industry as hemp is a much, much better, cheaper, and faster growing fiber for making paper than wood. William Randolph Hearst was the best known anti-cannabis crusader, utilizing his position of ownership of several newspapers to slander and besmirch cannabis, suggesting connections to mania à la reefer madness and use by minorities such as blacks and Mexicans.

So that's why it was originally banned. Today, it's still illegal because it would be too expensive to legalize it. A friend was in a sheriff's office and noticed a poster displaying the following statistic: 55% of all felony incarcerations nationwide are marijuana related. This means that if we federally legalized cannabis today, we'd have to close half of the prisons, lay off half of the legal system (laywers, judges, etc), fire half of our police and put an end to lucrative private prison contracts. In short: ain't gonna happen.
