Will hygrozyme or H202 kill off dead roots in reservoir?

There are many times when dead or even fresh torn roots get tangled with healthy living roots in my recirculating res Im just wondering if the use of Hygrozyme or H202 (hydrogen peroxide) will prevent or kill them off so to avoid root rot or any ill results?

There was a lot of discussion about this in a recent thread about uv light in a mpb res. Dont think the h2o2 would get rid of the material, but it kills any bad stuff that would feed on it. Hygrozyme should remove it, you can use small amounts of h2o2 with hygrozyme, how you would know if you killed the hygrozyme, I'm not sure. Other beneficial microbes that might help break down the material or process it into nutrients the plants can use might be killed by the h2o2. So you could add the h2o2 after a flush and wait for it to dissipate then add nutes and bennies, or add it right before a flush. At 6ppm h2o2 could stunt lettuce growth, so at some level it could probably slow the herbs growth, i'd guess a lot higher than 6ppm judging by the success some growers have with it. I notice a lot of good dwc growers really like great white and multi zen combo with weekly flushes. Some people get a weird slime with hygrozyme, that nobody really seems to understand.

Thats about how i'd sum up the uv light thread. Basically I need to learn more about the micorbial food chain, never thought i'd say that.
