Earlier this year, I was running 4 1000w HPS cooling with a 24k Window AC, please see link. Worked fine, could bring the room down to 70 if needed, keep in mind the room was 14x14x8, ambient temperature was 70-85 depending on the weather.

I upgraded, but unfortunately I couldn't get splits so I am stuck with going window AC. (I'm not worried about the power.) I currently have a room of 19x15x8 running 8 1000w with 2 24k Window AC's. Theoretically I doubled my lighting and now I have doubled my AC, however the AC's aren't keeping up. Ambient temperature is around 65-70, however the rooms aren't insulated. Just drywall, plastic and drywall on the outside.

Any ideas as to why 2 24k BTU Window AC's can't keep up with 8 1000w?

Thanks for the help.

Have you tried running only 4k with the new unit to be sure it is performing as well as the old one? Are these open hoods or vented? Sealed room? You should post this question to Cannabis John, he has an A/C thread and knows all about a/c probs.
