wort chillers????

can someone explain how these work,do u hook coil up to a chiller,or just pump colder water thru it,never seen these. thanks guys

Your right on the money with your guesses. You can do either way you described but you submerge your coil into the warmer solution and when you turn on chiller/cold water through the coil it will draw away heat from rez and out the coil w/o mixing with rez solution. I would reccomend against using the tap water dtw though, as that would be wasteful imo.
