I need to get better at curing. Last grow didn't have the flavor or smell I wanted. They are Glassless Terploc Grove Bags. Has anyone used them before?

Those bags are expensive. Buy a case of quart canning jars. $8.00 per bag/1/4 pound. $35.00/harvest/single use bags. Waste of money. They want all your money. You can’t live without their bags. So they say…

Memnoch, I use those terploc bags. They work very well. Compared to jarred and daily cracked w/ humidity packets, it is comparable or better than the jars. It is cheaper to use the terploc bags. When stored properly, as close to 68 degrees as you can, the cure bags will work very well. Also, make sure it is pitch black in the room it is stored.

I burp and rotate what is in the bag 1 time usually half way through, then store them away again.

why pitch black? What is the point in that? Just curious. Ive been using the same mason jars for 40+ years with great results. Its tough to find the 1/2 gallon jars so I just reuse

RRock,

Those half gallon jars are available. Tractor supply. Great tip. I’ll switch to the half gallon jugs this fall.

The price seemed pretty good to me. Cheaper than some jars. $12 for 6 1/2 oz bags and they are reusable so that's a plus. I ordered them going to give them a try. Has to work better than the glad tupperware I had it in.

i have used them. I really like to bigger ones, 1/4, 1/2 lbs bags, you can get alot more heat seals out of them. The 1 once or less will only get 1 or 2 heat seals before you are at the zipper. Definitely want to heat seal them for best cure and for long term storage. I like them way better then jars. If you are ordering a bunch then it might be worth going on Grove bags own website. I was able to build a set and order a bunch of different sizes
