Hey guys as most of u know I'm in the early stages of indoor growing everything is so much different I have a few that just glhit veg so I mixed up some food for them four days ago I decloranated some tap water pH to 6.5 and mixed in my floranova grow well I peeked in and noticed they need watered today I grabbed my gallon jar of food for them and seen this growing in it i immediately decided not to feed today until I find out what this is or if it's harmful to my girls I'm prob over reacting but i leave the jar open its in my tent so not much of anything should have got in it no bugs or anything anyways

you need to have your water out of direct light and have a top on it. I had the same thing happen with me but I fill up multiple 5 gallon buckets. weird white algae like growth. try putting a lid on it, that blocks out light and dust. thats what helped me.

I should prob dump this huh and sterilize my jar

Yes, white algae in water can be bad for plants, as it can deprive them of essential nutrients by absorbing them before they get a chance to drink. I typically leave my containers in a dark room with a lid placed on top. Not airtight or anything. I still allow space for my airline for the airstone, and to allow for chlorine to evaporate. Not all tap water uses chlorine so it's best to check with your city, town, etc. We use chlorine here.

I googled it and it said we use chlorine I have about seven gallon jugs of distilled water I bought from Kroger's I may just use it from now on at least while they are still in the early veg and seedling stages just gotta pH it for sure the distilled water i bought has a ph of 8.8-9.0

You can use distilled for cannabis plants at those stages. Just know it doesnt provide you with essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, sodium. You will need to plan accordingly.

Man these is so much to this lol what did I get myself into

Time to go get a few jugs of spring water lol Kroger's has them for 75 cents a gallon right now

This website is a great source of information. I probably made it sound more complicated than it needed to. With distilled water you'll need to PH it and simply add a little calmag. You can buy the stuff on Amazon.

What do you plan on feeding your plants with? Nutrient wise.

Quit making it so complicated. Get away from all this ph filtered water and synthetic nutrients. It makes the process way hard than it needs to be. When you run filtered water you will have to add back the minerals that have been filtered out. Only use a carbon filter that way it removes the chlorine from the water. You will have to add less calmag. If you are using any type of soil it is not necessary to ph. If you are a new grower I would strongly suggest you look into living organic soil. It’s way easier way cheaper and I swear the flower has way better flavor or terps.

This. I started with synthetic and RO water. Had spotting issues like crazy. I've since switched to happy frog soil + gaia green + tap water thats sat overnight. I don't bother PHing my tap water. I do add recharge though to keep the microbes going. Much much easier. Soil does the thinking for me.

Now get a good soil and keep reusing it and for the next few years.

I'm running floranova nutrients grow then bloom and my medium is 50%promix organic gardening mix 20% worm castings 15% perlite 15% vermiculite

Why both with the casting? You are running a nutrient line that is full hydro. No reason to build up your soil
